A Remnant Prepared

1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let’s be called by your name, to take away our reproach.

1 Seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, “We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes; just let your name be called on us; take away our reproach.” 1 Seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, “We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes; just let your name be called on us; take away our reproach.”

2 In that day shall the branch of Yahweh be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for those who are escaped of Israēl.

2 But on that day God will gloriously shine on the earth with a plan to exalt and glorify the remnant of Israēl. 2 But on that day God will gloriously shine on the earth with a plan to exalt and glorify the remnant of Israēl.

3 And it will happen, that he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem.

3 And what is left behind in Siōn and remains in Jerousalēm will be called holy, all who have been recorded for life in Jerousalēm, 3 And what is left behind in Siōn and remains in Jerousalēm will be called holy, all who have been recorded for life in Jerousalēm,

4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst of it by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

4 because the Lord will wash away the filth of the sons and daughters of Siōn and will cleanse the blood from their midst by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of burning. 4 because the Lord will wash away the filth of the sons and daughters of Siōn and will cleanse the blood from their midst by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of burning.

5 And Yahweh will create on every dwelling place of mount Zion, and on her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for on all the glory shall be a defence.

5 Then he will come, and it will be every place of Mount Siōn and all that surrounds it, a cloud will overshadow it by day and like smoke and like a light of fire burning by night. It be covered with all glory. 5 Then he will come, and it will be every place of Mount Siōn and all that surrounds it, a cloud will overshadow it by day and like smoke and like a light of fire burning by night. It be covered with all glory.

6 And there shall be a tent for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

6 And it will be a shade from heat and a shelter and a hideout from harshness and rain. 6 And it will be a shade from heat and a shelter and a hideout from harshness and rain.
