1 A Song of degrees of David.
I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of Yahweh.

שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלֹות לְדָוִד
שָׂמַחְתִּי בְּאֹמְרִים לִי בֵּית יְהוָה נֵלֵךְ׃

2 Our feet shall stand within your gates, Oh Jerusalem.

עֹמְדֹות הָיוּ רַגְלֵינוּ בִּשְׁעָרַיִךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם׃

3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together;

יְרוּשָׁלִַם הַבְּנוּיָה כְּעִיר שֶׁחֻבְּרָה ־ לָּהּ יַחְדָּו׃

4 Where the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, to the testimony of Israēl, to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.

שֶׁשָּׁם עָלוּ שְׁבָטִים שִׁבְטֵי ־ יָהּ עֵדוּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְהֹדֹות לְשֵׁם יְהוָה׃

4 ἐκεῖ γὰρ ἀνέβησαν αἱ φυλαί, φυλαὶ κυρίου μαρτύριον τῷ Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ ἐξομολογήσασθαι τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου·	4 ἐκεῖ γὰρ ἀνέβησαν αἱ φυλαί, φυλαὶ Κυρίου, μαρτύριον τῷ Ἰσραήλ, τοῦ ἐξομολογήσασθαι τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου·

5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

כִּי שָׁמָּה יָשְׁבוּ כִסְאֹות לְמִשְׁפָּט כִּסְאֹות לְבֵית דָּוִיד׃

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper who love you.

שַׁאֲלוּ שְׁלֹום יְרוּשָׁלִָם יִשְׁלָיוּ אֹהֲבָיִךְ׃

יְהִי ־ שָׁלֹום בְּחֵילֵךְ שַׁלְוָה בְּאַרְמְנֹותָיִךְ׃

8 For my brothers and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.

לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה ־ נָּא שָׁלֹום בָּךְ׃

9 Because of the house of Yahweh our Elohim I will seek your good.

לְמַעַן בֵּית ־ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲבַקְשָׁה טֹוב לָךְ׃

9 ἕνεκα τοῦ οἴκου κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐξεζήτησα ἀγαθά σοι.	9 ἕνεκα τοῦ οἴκου Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν, ἐξεζήτησα ἀγαθά σοι.
