Psalms

1 A Song of degrees. They who trust in Yahweh shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides for ever.

שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלֹות
הַבֹּטְחִים בַּיהוָה כְּהַר ־ צִיֹּון לֹא ־ יִמֹּוט לְעֹולָם יֵשֵׁב׃

1 [ᾨδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν.] οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπὶ κύριον ὡς ὄρος Σιών· οὐ σαλευθήσεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὁ κατοικῶν Ἱερουσαλήμ.	1 ᾨδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν. — οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπὶ Κύριον ὡς ὄρος Σιών· οὐ σαλευθήσεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὁ κατοικῶν Ἱερουσαλήμ.

2 As the mountains are all around Jerusalem, so Yahweh is all around his people from henceforth even for ever.

יְרוּשָׁלִַם הָרִים סָבִיב לָהּ וַיהוָה סָבִיב לְעַמֹּו מֵעַתָּה וְעַד ־ עֹולָם׃

3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.

כִּי לֹא יָנוּחַ שֵׁבֶט הָרֶשַׁע עַל גֹּורַל הַצַּדִּיקִים לְמַעַן לֹא ־ יִשְׁלְחוּ הַצַּדִּיקִים בְּעַוְלָתָה יְדֵיהֶם׃

3 ὅτι οὐκ ἀφήσει τὴν ῥάβδον τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐπὶ τὸν κλῆρον τῶν δικαίων, ὅπως ἄν μὴ ἐκτείνωσιν οἱ δίκαιοι ἐν ἀνομίᾳ χεῖρας αὐτῶν.	3 ὅτι οὐκ ἀφήσει Κύριος τὴν ῥάβδον τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐπὶ τὸν κλῆρον τῶν δικαίων, ὅπως ἄν μὴ ἐκτείνωσιν οἱ δίκαιοι ἐν ἀνομίαις χεῖρας αὐτῶν.

4 Do good, Oh Yahweh, to those who be good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.

הֵיטִיבָה יְהוָה לַטֹּובִים וְלִישָׁרִים בְּלִבֹּותָם׃

5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity; but peace shall be on Israēl.

וְהַמַּטִּים עַקַלְקַלֹּותָם יֹולִיכֵם יְהוָה אֶת ־ פֹּעֲלֵי הָאָוֶן שָׁלֹום עַל ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
