(LXX 60)

AlexandrinusVaticanus

To the chief Musician on Neginah, A Psalm of David.

For the end, among the Hymns of David. For the end, among the Hymns of David.

1 Hear my cry, Oh God; attend to my prayer.

1 Oh God, listen to my petition; attend to my prayer. 1 Oh God, listen to my petition; attend to my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth will I cry to you, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

2 From the ends of the earth have I cried to you, when my heart was in trouble; you lifted me up on a rock you guided me; 2 From the ends of the earth have I cried to you, when my heart was in trouble; you lifted me up on a rock you guided me;

3 For you have been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

3 because you were my hope, a tower of strength from the face of the enemy. 3 because you were my hope, a tower of strength from the face of the enemy.

4 I will abide in your tent for ever; I will trust in the covert of your wings. Selah.

4 I will dwell as a resident alien in your tent for ever; I will shelter myself under the shadow of your wings. Pause. 4 I will dwell as a resident alien in your tent for ever; I will shelter myself under the shadow of your wings. Pause.

5 For you, Oh God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

5 For you, Oh God, have heard my prayers; you have given an inheritance to those who fear your name. 5 For you, Oh God, have heard my prayers; you have given an inheritance to those who fear your name.

6 You will prolong the king’s life; and his years as many generations.

6 You shall add days to the days of the king; you shall lengthen his years to all generations. 6 You shall add days to the days of the king; you shall lengthen his years to all generations.

7 He shall abide before God for ever; Oh prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

7 διαμενεῖ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ· ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθειαν αὐτοῦ τίς ἐκζητήσει; 7 διαμενεῖ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ· ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθειαν αὐτοῦ τίς ἐκζητήσει;
7 He shall endure forever before God; which of them will seek out his mercy and truth? 7 He shall endure forever before God; which of them will seek out his mercy and truth?

8 So will I sing praise to your name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

8 So will I sing to your name forever and ever, that I may daily perform my vows. 8 So will I sing to your name forever and ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
