1 Unto you will I cry, Oh Yahweh my rock; don’t be silent to me; lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down into the pit.

1 Πρὸς σέ κύριε ἐκέκραξα, ὁ θεός μου μὴ παρασιωπήσῃς ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, μήποτε παρασιωπήσῃς ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ὁμοιωθήσομαι τοῖς καταβαίνουσιν εἰς λάκκον.	1 πρός σέ, Κύριε, ἐκέκραξα, ὁ Θεός μου, μὴ παρασιωπήσῃς ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, μήποτε παρασιωπήσῃς ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ ὁμοιωθήσομαι τοῖς καταβαίνουσιν εἰς λάκκον.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy oracle.

3 Don’t draw me away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours; give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

4 δὸς αὐτοῖς κατὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν, καὶ κατὰ τὴν πονηρίαν τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων αὐτῶν· κατὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν δὸς αὐτοῖς, ἀπόδος τὸ ἀνταπόδομα αὐτῶν αὐτοῖς.	4 δὸς αὐτοῖς, Κύριε, κατὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ τὴν πονηρίαν τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων αὐτῶν· κατὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν δὸς αὐτοῖς, ἀπόδος τὸ ἀνταπόδομα αὐτῶν αὐτοῖς.

5 Because they don’t regard the works of Yahweh, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

6 Blessed be Yahweh, because he has heard the voice of my supplications.

7 Yahweh is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him.

8 Yahweh is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
