1 A Psalm of David.
Hear my prayer, Oh Yahweh, give ear to my supplications; in your faithfullness answer me, and in your righteousness.

מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד
יְהוָה שְׁמַע תְּפִלָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה אֶל ־ תַּחֲנוּנַי בֶּאֱמֻנָתְךָ עֲנֵנִי בְּצִדְקָתֶךָ׃

1 [Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυίδ, ὅτε αὐτὸν ὁ υἱὸς καταδιώκει.] Κύριε, εἰσάκουσον τῆς προσευχῆς μου, ἐνώτισαι τὴν δέησίν μου ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου, ἐπάκουσόν μου ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου·	1 Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυΐδ, ὅτε αὐτὸν ὁ υἱὸς καταδιώκει. — κύριε, εἰσάκουσον τῆς προσευχῆς μου, ἐνώτισαι τὴν δέησίν μου ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου, εἰσάκουσόν μου ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου·

2 And enter not into judgment with your servant; for in your sight shall no man living be justified.

וְאַל ־ תָּבֹוא בְמִשְׁפָּט אֶת ־ עַבְדֶּךָ כִּי לֹא ־ יִצְדַּק לְפָנֶיךָ כָל ־ חָי׃

2 καὶ μὴ εἰσέλθῃς εἰς κρίσιν μετὰ τοῦ δούλου σου, ὅτι οὐ δικαιωθήσεται ἐνώπιόν σου πᾶς ζῶν.	2 καὶ μὴ εἰσέλθῃς εἰς κρίσιν μετὰ τοῦ δούλου σου, ὅτι οὐ δικαιωθήσεται ἐνώπιόν σου πᾶς ζῶν.

3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has smitten my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in darkness, as those who have been long dead.

כִּי רָדַף אֹויֵב נַפְשִׁי דִּכָּא לָאָרֶץ חַיָּתִי הֹושִׁיבַנִי בְמַחֲשַׁכִּים כְּמֵתֵי עֹולָם׃

3 Ὅτι κατεδίωξεν ὁ ἐχθρὸς τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἐταπείνωσεν εἰς γῆν τὴν ζωήν μου, ἐκάθισέν με ἐν σκοτεινοῖς ὡς νεκροὺς αἰῶνος·	3 ὅτι κατεδίωξεν ὁ ἐχθρὸς τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἐταπείνωσεν εἰς γῆν τὴν ζωήν μου, ἐκάθισέ με ἐν σκοτεινοῖς ὡς νεκροὺς αἰῶνος·

4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

וַתִּתְעַטֵּף עָלַי רוּחִי בְּתֹוכִי יִשְׁתֹּומֵם לִבִּי׃

4 καὶ ἠκηδίασεν ἐπ’ ἐμὲ τὸ πνεῦμά μου, ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐταράχθη ἡ καρδία μου.	4 καὶ ἠκηδίασεν ἐπ’ ἐμὲ τὸ πνεῦμά μου, ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐταράχθη ἡ καρδία μου.

5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all your works; I muse on the work of your hands.

זָכַרְתִּי יָמִים מִקֶּדֶם הָגִיתִי בְכָל ־ פָּעֳלֶךָ בְּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ אֲשֹׂוחֵחַ׃

5 ἐμνήσθην ἡμερῶν ἀρχαίων καὶ ἐμελέτησα ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις σου, ἐν ποιήμασιν τῶν χειρῶν σου ἐμελέτων.	5 ἐμνήσθην ἡμερῶν ἀρχαίων, ἐμελέτησα ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις σου, ἐν ποιήμασι τῶν χειρῶν σου ἐμελέτων.

6 I stretch forth my hands to you; my soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land. Selah.

פֵּרַשְׂתִּי יָדַי אֵלֶיךָ נַפְשִׁי כְּאֶרֶץ ־ עֲיֵפָה לְךָ סֶלָה׃

7 Hear me speedily, Oh Yahweh; my spirit fails; hide not your face from me, lest I be like to those who go down into the pit.

מַהֵר עֲנֵנִי יְהוָה כָּלְתָה רוּחִי אַל ־ תַּסְתֵּר פָּנֶיךָ מִמֶּנִּי וְנִמְשַׁלְתִּי עִם ־ יֹרְדֵי בֹור׃

7 Ταχὺ εἰσάκουσόν μου, κύριε, ἐξέλιπεν τὸ πνεῦμά μου· μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ὁμοιωθήσομαι τοῖς καταβαίνουσιν εἰς λάκκον.	7 ταχὺ εἰσάκουσόν μου, Κύριε, ἐξέλιπε τὸ πνεῦμά μου· μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ὁμοιωθήσομαι τοῖς καταβαίνουσιν εἰς λάκκον.

8 Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning; for in you do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk; for I lift up my soul to you.

הַשְׁמִיעֵנִי בַבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ כִּי ־ בְךָ בָטָחְתִּי הֹודִיעֵנִי דֶּרֶךְ ־ זוּ אֵלֵךְ כִּי ־ אֵלֶיךָ נָשָׂאתִי נַפְשִׁי׃

8 ἀκουστὸν ποίησόν μοι τὸ πρωὶ τὸ ἔλεός σου, ὅτι ἐπὶ σοί ἤλπισα· γνώρισόν μοι, κύριε, ὁδὸν ἐν ᾗ πορεύσομαι, ὅτι πρὸς σὲ ἦρα τὴν ψυχήν μου·	8 ἀκουστὸν ποίησόν μοι τὸ πρωῒ τὸ ἔλεός σου, ὅτι ἐπὶ σοί ἤλπισα· γνώρισόν μοι, Κύριε, ὁδόν, ἐν ᾗ πορεύσομαι, ὅτι πρὸς σὲ ἦρα τὴν ψυχήν μου·

9 Deliver me, Oh Yahweh, from my enemies; I flee to you to hide me.

הַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבַי יְהוָה אֵלֶיךָ כִסִּתִי׃

10 Teach me to do your will; for you are my God; your spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

לַמְּדֵנִי לַעֲשֹׂות רְצֹונֶךָ כִּי ־ אַתָּה אֱלֹוהָי רוּחֲךָ טֹובָה תַּנְחֵנִי בְּאֶרֶץ מִישֹׁור׃

10 δίδαξόν με τοῦ ποιεῖν τὸ θέλημά σου, ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ θεός μου· τὸ πνεῦμά σου τὸ ἀγαθὸν ὁδηγήσει με ἐν γῇ εὐθείᾳ.	10 δίδαξόν με τοῦ ποιεῖν τὸ θέλημά σου, ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ Θεός μου· τὸ πνεῦμά σου τὸ ἀγαθὸν ὁδηγήσει με ἐν γῇ εὐθείᾳ.

11 Quicken me, Oh Yahweh, for your name’s sake; for your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.

לְמַעַן ־ שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה תְּחַיֵּנִי בְּצִדְקָתְךָ תֹוצִיא מִצָּרָה נַפְשִׁי׃

11 ἕνεκα τοῦ ὀνόματός σου, κύριε, ζήσεις με ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἐξάξεις ἐκ θλίψεως τὴν ψυχήν μου·	11 ἕνεκεν τοῦ ὀνόματός σου, Κύριε, ζήσεις με, ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἐξάξεις ἐκ θλίψεως τὴν ψυχήν μου·

12 And of your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul; for I am your servant.

וּבְחַסְדְּךָ תַּצְמִית אֹיְבָי וְהַאֲבַדְתָּ כָּל ־ צֹרֲרֵי נַפְשִׁי כִּי אֲנִי עַבְדֶּךָ׃

12 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐλέει σου ἐξολεθρεύσεις τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου καὶ ἀπολεῖς πάντας τοὺς θλίβοντας τὴν ψυχήν μου· ὅτι δοῦλός σου εἰμι ἐγώ.	12 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐλέει σου ἐξολοθρεύσεις τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου καὶ ἀπολεῖς πάντας τοὺς θλίβοντας τὴν ψυχήν μου, ὅτι ἐγὼ δοῦλός σού εἰμι.
