Zechariah

1 [M 2:5] I lifted up my eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

1 Καὶ ἦρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ σχοινίον γεωμετρικόν.	1 Καὶ ᾖρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ σχοινίον γεωμετρικόν.

2 [M 2:6] Then said I, Where go you? And he said to me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth of it, and what is the length of it.

2 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτόν, ποῦ σὺ πορεύῃ; καὶ εἶπεν πρός με, διαμετρῆσαι τὴν Ἱερουσαλὴμ τοῦ ἰδεῖν πηλίκον τὸ πλάτος αὐτῆς ἐστιν καὶ πηλίκον τὸ μῆκος.	2 καὶ εἶπα πρὸς αὐτόν· ποῦ σὺ πορεύῃ; καὶ εἶπε πρός με· διαμετρῆσαι τὴν Ἱερουσαλὴμ τοῦ ἰδεῖν πηλίκον τὸ πλάτος αὐτῆς ἔστι καὶ πηλίκον τὸ μῆκος.
2 And I said to him, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalēm, to see how great is its width and how great is its length.”	2 And I said to him, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalēm, to see how great is its width and how great is its length.”

3 [M 2:7] And, behold, the angel who talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

3 καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ εἱστήκει, καὶ ἄγγελος ἕτερος ἐξεπορεύετο εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτῷ	3 καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ εἱστήκει, καὶ ἄγγελος ἕτερος ἐξεπορεύετο εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτῷ.

4 [M 2:8] And said to him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein.

4 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὸν λέγων, δράμε καὶ λάλησον πρὸς τὸν νεανίαν ἐκεῖνον λέγων, Κατακάρπως κατοικηθήσεται Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἀπὸ πλήθους ἀνθρώπων καὶ κτηνῶν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς·	4 καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτὸν λέγων· δράμε καὶ λάλησον πρὸς τὸν νεανίαν ἐκεῖνον λέγων· κατακάρπως κατοικηθήσεται Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἀπὸ πλήθους ἀνθρώπων καὶ κτηνῶν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς·

5 [M 2:9] For I, says Yahweh, will be to her a wall of fire all around, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

5 καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῇ, λέγει κύριος, τεῖχος πυρὸς κυκλόθεν καὶ εἰς δόξαν ἔσομαι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς.	5 καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῇ, λέγει Κύριος, τεῖχος πυρὸς κυκλόθεν καὶ εἰς δόξαν ἔσομαι ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς.

6 [M 2:10] Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, says Yahweh; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, says Yahweh.

6 Ὦ ὦ φεύγετε ἀπὸ γῆς βορρᾶ, λέγει κύριος, διότι ἐκ τῶν τεσσάρων ἀνέμων τοῦ οὐρανοῦ συνάξω ὑμᾶς, λέγει κύριος·	6 ὦ ὦ φεύγετε ἀπὸ γῆς Βορρᾶ, λέγει Κύριος· διότι ἐκ τῶν τεσσάρων ἀνέμων τοῦ οὐρανοῦ συνάξω ὑμᾶς, λέγει Κύριος·

7 [M 2:11] Deliver yourself, Oh Zion, that dwells with the daughter of Babylon.

8 [M 2:12] For thus says Yahweh of hosts; After the glory has he sent me to the nations which spoiled you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.

8 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ, ὀπίσω δόξης ἀπέσταλκέν με ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη τὰ σκυλεύσαντα ὑμᾶς, διότι ὁ ἁπτόμενος ὑμῶν ὡς ἁπτόμενος τῆς κόρης τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ αὐτοῦ·	8 διότι τάδε λέγει Κύριος παντοκράτωρ· ὀπίσω δόξης ἀπέσταλκέ με ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη τὰ σκυλεύσαντα ὑμᾶς, διότι ὁ ἁπτόμενος ὑμῶν ὡς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τῆς κόρης τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ αὐτοῦ.
8 For thus says the Lord Almighty. Behind glory he has sent me to the nations who plundered you; because he who touches you is as one who touches the pupil of his eye.	8 For thus says the Lord Almighty. 9 [M 2:13] For, behold, I will shake my hand on them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants; and you shall know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me.

9 διότι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπιφέρω τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ’ αὐτούς, καὶ ἔσονται σκῦλα τοῖς δουλεύουσιν αὐτοῖς, καὶ γνώσεσθε διότι κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἀπέσταλκέν με.	9 διότι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπιφέρω τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπ’ αὐτούς, καὶ ἔσονται σκῦλα τοῖς δουλεύουσιν αὐτοῖς, καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι Κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἀπέσταλκέ με.

10 [M 2:14] Sing and rejoice, Oh daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you, says Yahweh.

11 [M 2:15] And many nations shall be joined to Yahweh in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that Yahweh of hosts has sent me to you.

11 καὶ καταφεύξονται ἔθνη πολλὰ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἔσονται αὐτῷ εἰς λαὸν καὶ κατασκηνώσουσιν ἐν μέσῳ σου, καὶ ἐπιγνώσῃ ὅτι κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐξαπέσταλκέν με πρὸς σέ.	11 καὶ καταφεύξονται ἔθνη πολλὰ ἐπὶ τὸν Κύριον ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἔσονται αὐτῷ εἰς λαὸν καὶ κατασκηνώσουσιν ἐν μέσῳ σου, καὶ ἐπιγνώσῃ ὅτι Κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐξαπέσταλκέ με πρός σε.

12 [M 2:16] And Yahweh shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

12 καὶ κατακληρονομήσει κύριος τὸν Ἰούδαν τὴν μερίδα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τὴν ἁγίαν καὶ αἱρετιεῖ ἔτι τὴν Ἱερουσαλήμ.	12 καὶ κατακληρονομήσει Κύριος τὸν Ἰούδαν, τὴν μερίδα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν ἁγίαν, καὶ αἱρετιεῖ ἔτι τὴν Ἱερουσαλήμ.

13 [M 2:17] Be silent, Oh all flesh, before Yahweh; for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

13 εὐλαβείσθω πᾶσα σὰρξ ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου, διότι ἐξεγήγερται ἐκ νεφελῶν ἁγίων αὐτοῦ.	13 εὐλαβείσθω πᾶσα σὰρξ ἀπὸ προσώπου Κυρίου, ὅτι ἐξεγήγερται ἐκ νεφελῶν ἁγίων αὐτοῦ.
