Leviticus

1 And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

3 Ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἢ τῶν προσηλύτων τῶν προσκειμένων ἐν ὑμῖν, ὃς ἄν σφάξῃ μόσχον ἢ πρόβατον ἢ αἶγα ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ ὃς ἄν σφάξῃ ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς	3 ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἢ τῶν προσηλύτων τῶν προσκειμένων ἐν ὑμῖν, ὃς ἐὰν σφάξῃ μόσχον ἢ πρόβατον ἢ αἶγα ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ ὃς ἄν σφάξῃ ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς,

4 and doesn’t bring it to the door of the tent of the congregation, to offer an offering to Yahweh before the tent of Yahweh; blood shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.

4 καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου μὴ ἐνέγκῃ ὥστε ποιῆσαι αὐτὸ εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα ἢ σωτήριον κυρίῳ δεκτὸν εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας, καὶ ὃς ἄν σφάξῃ ἔξω καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου μὴ ἐνέγκῃ αὐτὸ ὥστε μὴ προσενέγκαι δῶρον κυρίῳ ἀπέναντι τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου, καὶ λογισθήσεται τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ αἷμα· αἷμα ἐξέχεεν, ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτῆς·

4 καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου μὴ ἐνέγκῃ, ὥστε ποιῆσαι αὐτὸ εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα ἢ σωτήριον Κυρίῳ δεκτὸν εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας, καὶ ὃς ἄν σφάξῃ ἔξω καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου μὴ ἐνέγκῃ αὐτό, ὥστε προσενέγκαι δῶρον τῷ Κυρίῳ ἀπέναντι τῆς σκηνῆς Κυρίου, καὶ λογισθήσεται τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ αἷμα· αἷμα ἐξέχεεν, ἐξολοθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτῆς·

4 and doesn’t bring it to the door of the tent of witness, to perform it as a whole burnt offering or as a salvation to the Lord, acceptable for an odour of fragrance, and who slaughters outside and doesn’t bring it to the door of the tent of witness in order to bring a gift to the Lord before the tent of the Lord, then bloodshed shall be reckoned to that man. He has shed blood; that soul shall be exterminated from its people.

4 and doesn’t bring it to the door of the tent of witness, to perform it as a whole burnt offering or as a salvation to the Lord, acceptable for an odour of fragrance, and who slaughters outside and doesn’t bring it to the door of the tent of witness in order to bring a gift to the Lord before the tent of the Lord, then bloodshed shall be reckoned to that man. He has shed blood; that soul shall be exterminated from its people.

5 To the end that the sons of Israēl may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them to Yahweh, to the door of the tent of the congregation, to the priest, and offer them for peace offerings to Yahweh.

5 ὅπως ἀναφέρωσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τὰς θυσίας αὐτῶν, ὅσας ἄν αὐτοὶ σφάξουσιν ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις, καὶ οἴσουσιν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα καὶ θύσουσιν θυσίαν σωτηρίου τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτά·	5 ὅπως ἀναφέρωσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τὰς θυσίας αὐτῶν, ὅσας ἄν αὐτοὶ σφάξουσιν ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις, καὶ οἴσουσι τῷ Κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα καὶ θύσουσι θυσίαν σωτηρίου τῷ Κυρίῳ αὐτά.

6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Yahweh at the door of the tent of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour to Yahweh.

7 and they shall no longer offer their sacrifices to useless things, to which they commit fornication after them. 10 And whatever man there is of the house of Israēl, or of the strangers who stay among you, who eats any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

13 And whatever man there is of the sons of Israēl, or of the strangers who stay among you, who hunts and catches any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood of it, and cover it with dust.

15 And every soul who eats what died of itself, or what was torn with beasts, whether it is one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean.

15 Καὶ πᾶσα ψυχή ἥτις φάγεται θνησιμαῖον ἢ θηριάλωτον ἐν τοῖς αὐτόχθοσιν ἢ ἐν τοῖς προσηλύτοις, πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ λούσεται ὕδατι καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ καθαρὸς ἔσται·	15 Καὶ πᾶσα ψυχή, ἥτις φάγεται θνησιμαῖον ἢ θηριάλωτον ἐν τοῖς αὐτόχθοσιν ἢ ἐν τοῖς προσηλύτοις, πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ λούσεται ὕδατι καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ καθαρὸς ἔσται.
