1 Not to us, Oh Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your mercy, and for your truth’s sake.

לֹא לָנוּ יְהוָה לֹא לָנוּ כִּי ־ לְשִׁמְךָ תֵּן כָּבֹוד עַל ־ חַסְדְּךָ עַל ־ אֲמִתֶּךָ׃

1 μὴ ἡμῖν, κύριε, μὴ ἡμῖν, ἀλλ’ ἢ τῷ ὀνόματί σου δὸς δόξαν ἐπὶ τῷ ἐλέει σου καὶ τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου,	1 μὴ ἡμῖν, Κύριε, μὴ ἡμῖν, ἀλλ’ ἢ τῷ ὀνόματί σου δὸς δόξαν, ἐπὶ τῷ ἐλέει σου καὶ τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου,

2 Why should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

לָמָּה יֹאמְרוּ הַגֹּויִם אַיֵּה ־ נָא אֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃

2 μήποτε εἴπωσιν τὰ ἔθνη, ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ θεὸς αὐτῶν;	2 μήποτε εἴπωσι τὰ ἔθνη· ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ Θεὸς αὐτῶν;

3 But our God is in the heavens; he has done whatever he has pleased.

וֵאלֹהֵינוּ בַשָּׁמָיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר ־ חָפֵץ עָשָׂה׃

4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

עֲצַבֵּיהֶם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָם׃

5 They have mouths, but they don’t speak; they have eyes, but they don’t see;

פֶּה ־ לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאוּ׃

5 στόμα ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐ λαλήσουσιν, ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐκ ὄψονται,	5 στόμα ἔχουσι, καὶ οὐ λαλήσουσιν, ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχουσι, καὶ οὐκ ὄψονται,

אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ אַף לָהֶם וְלֹא יְרִיחוּן׃

6 ὦτα ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐκ ἀκούσονται, ῥῖνας ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐκ ὀσφρανθήσονται,	6 ὦτα ἔχουσι, καὶ οὐκ ἀκούσονται, ῥῖνας ἔχουσι, καὶ οὐκ ὀσφρανθήσονται,

יְדֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְמִישׁוּן רַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְהַלֵּכוּ לֹא ־ יֶהְגּוּ בִּגְרֹונָם׃

7 χεῖρας ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐ ψηλαφήσουσιν, πόδας ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐ περιπατήσουσιν οὐ φωνήσουσιν ἐν τῷ λάρυγγι αὐτῶν.	7 χεῖρας ἔχουσι, καὶ οὐ ψηλαφήσουσι, πόδας ἔχουσι καὶ οὐ περιπατήσουσιν, οὐ φωνήσουσιν ἐν τῷ λάρυγγι αὐτῶν.

8 They who make them are like to them; so is everyone who trusts in them.

כְּמֹוהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר ־ בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶם׃

9 Oh Israēl, trust in Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.

יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּטַח בַּיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הוּא׃

בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הוּא׃

יִרְאֵי יְהוָה בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הוּא׃

12 Yahweh has been mindful of us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israēl; he will bless the house of Aaron.

יְהוָה זְכָרָנוּ יְבָרֵךְ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת ־ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל יְבָרֵךְ אֶת ־ בֵּית אַהֲרֹן׃

12 κύριος ἐμνήσθη ἡμῶν καὶ εὐλόγησεν ἡμᾶς, εὐλόγησεν τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραήλ, εὐλόγησεν τὸν οἶκον Ἀαρών,	12 Κύριος μνησθεὶς ἡμῶν εὐλόγησεν ἡμᾶς, εὐλόγησε τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραήλ, εὐλόγησε τὸν οἶκον Ἀαρών,

13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh, both small and great.

יְבָרֵךְ יִרְאֵי יְהוָה הַקְּטַנִּים עִם ־ הַגְּדֹלִים׃

13 εὐλόγησεν τοὺς φοβουμένους τὸν κύριον, τοὺς μικροὺς μετὰ τῶν μεγάλων.	13 εὐλόγησε τοὺς φοβουμένους τὸν Κύριον, τοὺς μικροὺς μετὰ τῶν μεγάλων.

14 Yahweh shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

יֹסֵף יְהוָה עֲלֵיכֶם עֲלֵיכֶם וְעַל ־ בְּנֵיכֶם׃

14 προσθείη κύριος ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς, ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμῶν·	14 προσθείη Κύριος ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς, ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμῶν.

15 You are blessed of Yahweh which made heaven and earth.

בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהוָה עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ׃

15 εὐλογημένοι ὑμεῖς τῷ κυρίῳ τῷ ποιήσαντι τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν.	15 εὐλογημένοι ὑμεῖς τῷ Κυρίῳ τῷ ποιήσαντι τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν.

16 The heaven, even the heavens, are Yahweh’s; but the earth has he given to the children of men.

הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם לַיהוָה וְהָאָרֶץ נָתַן לִבְנֵי ־ אָדָם׃

16 ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῷ κυρίῳ, τὴν δὲ γῆν ἔδωκεν τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων.	16 ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῷ Κυρίῳ, τὴν δὲ γῆν ἔδωκε τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων.

17 The dead don’t praise Yahweh, neither any who go down into silence.

לֹא הַמֵּתִים יְהַלְלוּ ־ יָהּ וְלֹא כָּל ־ יֹרְדֵי דוּמָה׃

17 οὐχ οἱ νεκροὶ αἰνέσουσίν σε, κύριε, οὐδὲ πάντες οἱ καταβαίνοντες εἰς ᾅδου,	17 οὐχ οἱ νεκροὶ αἰνέσουσί σε, Κύριε, οὐδὲ πάντες οἱ καταβαίνοντες εἰς ᾅδου,
17 The dead shall not praise you, Oh Lord, nor any who go down to Hades.	17 The dead shall not praise you, Oh Lord, nor any who go down to Hades.

18 But we will bless Yahweh from this time forth and for evermore. Praise Yahweh.

וַאֲנַחְנוּ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד ־ עֹולָם הַלְלוּ ־ יָהּ׃

18 ἀλλ’ ἡμεῖς οἱ ζῶντες εὐλογήσομεν τὸν κύριον ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος.	18 ἀλλ’ ἡμεῖς οἱ ζῶντες εὐλογήσομεν τὸν Κύριον, ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν, καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος.
