1 And he said to Moses, “Come up to Yahweh, you, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and 70 of the elders of Israēl; and worship afar off.

1 Καὶ Μωυσῇ εἶπεν ἀνάβηθι πρὸς κύριον σὺ καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ Ναδὰβ καὶ Ἀβιοὺδ καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα τῶν πρεσβυτέρων Ἰσραήλ, καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν μακρόθεν τῷ κυρίῳ·	1 Καὶ Μωυσῇ εἶπε· ἀνάβηθι πρὸς τὸν Κύριον σὺ καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ Ναδὰβ καὶ Ἀβιοὺδ καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα τῶν πρεσβυτέρων Ἰσραήλ, καὶ προσκυνήσουσι μακροθυμεῖ τῷ Κυρίῳ·

4 And Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israēl.

5 And he sent young men of the sons of Israēl, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to Yahweh.

7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people; and they said, “All that Yahweh has said will we do, and be obedient.”

10 And they saw Elohim of Israēl; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the very sky in its clearness.

10 καὶ εἶδον τὸν τόπον, οὗ εἱστήκει ἐκεῖ ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ· καὶ τὰ ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ ἔργον πλίνθου σαπφείρου καὶ ὥσπερ εἶδος στερεώματος τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῇ καθαριότητι.	10 καὶ εἶδον τὸν τόπον, οὗ εἱστήκει ὁ Θεὸς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ· καὶ τά ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ ἔργον πλίνθου σαπφείρου καὶ ὥσπερ εἶδος στερεώματος τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῇ καθαριότητι.

11 And on the nobles of the sons of Israēl, he laid not his hand: also they saw Elohim, and ate and drink.

12 And Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me into the mount, and be there; and I will give you tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may teach them.”

12 And the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me into the mountain, and be there. 13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua; and Moses went up into the mount of Elohim.

14 And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you; and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you; if any man has any matters to do, let him come to them.”

14 καὶ τοῖς πρεσβυτέροις εἶπαν ἡσυχάζετε αὐτοῦ, ἕως ἀναστρέψωμεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς· καὶ ἰδοὺ Ἀαρὼν καὶ Ὤρ μεθ’ ὑμῶν· ἐάν τινι συμβῇ κρίσις, προσπορευέσθωσαν αὐτοῖς.	14 καὶ τοῖς πρεσβυτέροις εἶπαν· ἡσυχάζετε αὐτοῦ, ἕως ἀναστρέψωμεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς· καὶ ἰδοὺ Ἀαρὼν καὶ Ὢρ μεθ’ ὑμῶν· ἐάν τινι συμβῇ κρίσις, προσπορευέσθωσαν αὐτοῖς.
14 And they said to the elders, “Wait quietly here until we return to you. And Look! Aarōn and Ōr are with you. 15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.

16 And the glory of Yahweh abode on mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

16 καὶ κατέβη ἡ δόξα τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινᾶ, καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτὸ ἡ νεφέλη ἓξ ἡμέρας· καὶ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος τὸν Μωυσῆν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἐκ μέσου τῆς νεφέλης.	16 καὶ κατέβη ἡ δόξα τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινά, καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτὸ ἡ νεφέλη ἓξ ἡμέρας· καὶ ἐκάλεσε Κύριος τὸν Μωυσῆν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἐκ μέσου τῆς νεφέλης.

17 And the sight of the glory of Yahweh was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the sons of Israēl.

18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got up into the mount; and Moses was in the mount 40 days and 40 nights.

18 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Μωυσῆς εἰς τὸ μέσον τῆς νεφέλης καὶ ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας.	18 καὶ εἰσῆλθε Μωυσῆς εἰς τὸ μέσον τῆς νεφέλης καὶ ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας.
