I Chronicles

1 So all Israēl were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israēl and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.

2 Now the first inhabitants who dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israēlites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.

וְהַיֹּושְׁבִים הָרִאשֹׁנִים אֲשֶׁר בַּאֲחֻזָּתָם בְּעָרֵיהֶם יִשְׂרָאֵל הַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם וְהַנְּתִינִים׃

וְיִבְנְיָה בֶּן ־ יְרֹחָם וְאֵלָה בֶן ־ עֻזִּי בֶּן ־ מִכְרִי וּמְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן ־ שְׁפַטְיָה בֶּן ־ רְעוּאֵל בֶּן ־ יִבְנִיָּה׃

9 And their brothers, according to their generations, 956. All these men were chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.

וַעֲדָיָה בֶּן ־ יְרֹחָם בֶּן ־ פַּשְׁחוּר בֶּן ־ מַלְכִּיָּה וּמַעְשַׂי בֶּן ־ עֲדִיאֵל בֶּן ־ יַחְזֵרָה בֶּן ־ מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן ־ מְשִׁלֵּמִית בֶּן ־ אִמֵּר׃

וַאֲחֵיהֶם רָאשִׁים לְבֵית אֲבֹותָם אֶלֶף וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות וְשִׁשִּׁים גִּבֹּורֵי חֵיל מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹודַת בֵּית ־ הָאֱלֹהִים׃

13 καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν χίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει εἰς ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ.	13 καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν χίλιοι καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ ἑξήκοντα, ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει εἰς ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ.

14 καὶ ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν· Σαμαία υἱὸς Ἀσὼβ υἱοῦ Ἐσρικὰμ υἱοῦ Ἀσαβία ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Μεραρὶ	14 καὶ ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν· Σαμαΐα υἱὸς Ἀσὼβ υἱοῦ Ἐζρικὰμ υἱοῦ Ἀσαβία ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Μεραρί,

15 And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

וּבַקְבַּקַּר חֶרֶשׁ וְגָלָל וּמַתַּנְיָה בֶּן ־ מִיכָא בֶּן ־ זִכְרִי בֶּן ־ אָסָף׃

15 καὶ Βακβακὰρ καὶ Ἀρὴς καὶ Γαλὰλ καὶ Μανθανίας υἱὸς Μιχὰ υἱοῦ Ζεχρὶ υἱοῦ Ἀσὰφ	15 καὶ Βακβακὰρ καὶ Ἀρὴς καὶ Γαλαὰλ καὶ Ματθανίας υἱὸς Μιχὰ υἱοῦ Ζεχρὶ υἱοῦ Ἀσὰφ

16 And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

וְעֹבַדְיָה בֶּן ־ שְׁמַעְיָה בֶּן ־ גָּלָל בֶּן ־ יְדוּתוּן וּבֶרֶכְיָה בֶן ־ אָסָא בֶּן ־ אֶלְקָנָה הַיֹּושֵׁב בְּחַצְרֵי נְטֹופָתִי׃

16 καὶ Ἀβδία υἱὸς Σαμία υἱοῦ Γαλὰλ υἱοῦ Ἰδιθὼν καὶ Βαραχιὰ υἱὸς Ὀσσὰ υἱοῦ Ἠλκανὰ ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ταῖς κώμαις Νετωφατί.	16 καὶ Ἀβδία υἱὸς Σαμία υἱοῦ Γαλαὰλ υἱοῦ Ἰδιθοῦν καὶ Βαραχία υἱὸς Ὀσσὰ υἱοῦ Ἑλκανά, ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ταῖς κώμαις Νετωφατί.

17 And the porters were, Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brothers: Shallum was the chief;

וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִים שַׁלּוּם וְעַקּוּב וְטַלְמֹן וַאֲחִימָן וַאֲחִיהֶם שַׁלּוּם הָרֹאשׁ׃

17 οἱ πυλωροί Σαλὼμ καὶ Ἀκοὺβ καὶ Ταλμὰν καὶ Αἱμὰν καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν, Σαλὼμ ὁ ἄρχων·	17 οἱ πυλωροί· Σαλώμ, Ἀκούμ, Τελμὼν καὶ Αἰμὰν καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν, Σαλὼμ ὁ ἄρχων·

18 Who hereto waited in the king’s gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.

וְעַד ־ הֵנָּה בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ מִזְרָחָה הֵמָּה הַשֹּׁעֲרִים לְמַחֲנֹות בְּנֵי לֵוִי׃

18 καὶ ἕως ταύτης ἐν τῇ πύλῃ τοῦ βασιλέως κατ’ ἀνατολάς· αὗται αἱ πύλαι τῶν παρεμβολῶν υἱῶν Λευί.	18 καὶ ἕως ταύτης ἐν τῇ πύλῃ τοῦ βασιλέως κατ’ ἀνατολάς· αὗται αἱ πύλαι τῶν παρεμβολῶν υἱῶν Λευί.

19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tent; and their fathers, being over the army of Yahweh, were keepers of the entry.

וְשַׁלּוּם בֶּן ־ קֹורֵא בֶּן ־ אֶבְיָסָף בֶּן ־ קֹרַח וְאֶחָיו לְבֵית ־ אָבִיו הַקָּרְחִים עַל מְלֶאכֶת הָעֲבֹודָה שֹׁמְרֵי הַסִּפִּים לָאֹהֶל וַאֲבֹתֵיהֶם עַל ־ מַחֲנֵה יְהוָה שֹׁמְרֵי הַמָּבֹוא׃

19 καὶ Σαλὼμ υἱὸς Κορὲ υἱοῦ Ἀβιασὰφ υἱοῦ Κορὲ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς οἶκον πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, οἱ Κορῖται, ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων τῆς λειτουργίας φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τῆς σκηνῆς, καὶ πατέρες αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῆς παρεμβολῆς κυρίου φυλάσσοντες τὴν εἴσοδον.	19 καὶ Σαλὼμ υἱὸς Κωρὴ υἱοῦ Ἀβιασὰφ υἱοῦ Κορέ. καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς οἶκον πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, οἱ Κορῖται, ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων τῆς λειτουργίας φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τῆς σκηνῆς, καὶ πατέρες αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῆς παρεμβολῆς Κυρίου φυλάσσοντες τὴν εἴσοδον.

20 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him.

וּפִינְחָס בֶּן ־ אֶלְעָזָר נָגִיד הָיָה עֲלֵיהֶם לְפָנִים יְהוָה עִמֹּו׃

21 And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tent of the congregation.

זְכַרְיָה בֶּן מְשֶׁלֶמְיָה שֹׁעֵר פֶּתַח לְאֹהֶל מֹועֵד׃

22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were 212. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their set office.

44 καὶ τῷ Ἐσὴλ ἓξ υἱοί, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν· Ἐσδρικὰμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, Ἰσμαὴλ καὶ Σαρία καὶ Ἀβδία καὶ Ἀνάν· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἐσήλ.	44 καὶ τῷ Ἐσὴλ ἓξ υἱοί, καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν· Ἐζρικὰμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ καὶ Ἰσμαὴλ καὶ Σαραΐα καὶ Ἀβδία καὶ Ἀνὰν καὶ Ἀσά. οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἐσήλ.
