Sons of Judah

1 The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

1 And the sons of Jouda: Phares, Arsōm, Charmi, Ōr, and Soubal, 1 And the sons of Jouda: Phares, Esrōm, Charmi, Ōr, and Soubal,

2 And Reaiah the son of Shobal fathered Jahath; and Jahath fathered Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

ἔτεκον ὡς γαβής.
9 καὶ ἦν Ἰγαβὴς ἔνδοξος ὑπὲρ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἡ μήτηρ ἐκάλεσε τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰγαβὴς λέγουσα·
ἔτεκον ὡς γαβής.

Ἐὰν εὐλογῶν εὐλογήσῃς με καὶ πληθύνῃς τὰ ὅριά μου καὶ ᾖ ἡ χείρ σου μετ’ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ποιήσεις γνῶσιν τοῦ μὴ ταπεινῶσαί με.
καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ὁ θεὸς πάντα, ὅσα ᾐτήσατο. 		10 καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο Ἰγαβὴς τὸν Θεὸν Ἰσραὴλ λέγων·
ἐὰν εὐλογῶν εὐλογήσῃς με καὶ πληθύνῃς τὰ ὅριά μου καὶ ᾖ ἡ χείρ σου μετ’ ἐμοῦ, καὶ ποιήσεις γνῶσιν τοῦ μὴ ταπεινῶσαί με·
καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ὁ Θεὸς πάντας, ὅσα ᾐτήσατο.

12 καὶ Ἀσσαθὼν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βαθρεφὰν καὶ τὸν Φεσσηὲ καὶ τὸν Θανὰ πατέρα πόλεως Ναὰς ἀδελφοῦ Ἐσελὼν τοῦ Κενεζί· οὗτοι ἄνδρες Ῥηφά. 12 καὶ Ἀσσαθὼν ἐγέννησε τὸν Βαθραίαν καὶ τὸν Βεσσηὲ καὶ τὸν Θανὰ πατέρα πόλεως Ναᾶς ἀδελφοῦ Ἐσελὼμ τοῦ Κενεζί· οὗτοι ἄνδρες Ῥηφά.

14 And Meonothai fathered Ophrah; and Seraiah fathered Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were craftsmen.

καὶ ἐγέννησεν Ἰεθὲρ τὸν Μαρὼν καὶ τὸν Σεμαὶ καὶ τὸν Μαρὲθ πατέρα Ἐσθεμών. 		17 καὶ υἱοὶ Ἐσρί· Ἰεθέρ, Μωρὰδ καὶ Ἄφερ καὶ Ἰαμών. καὶ ἐγέννησεν Ἰεθὲρ τὸν Μαρὼν καὶ τὸν Σεμαΐ καὶ τὸν Μαρὲθ πατέρα Ἐσθαιμών.
