For the end, a Psalm and Song of David. For the end, a Psalm and Song of David.

1 Praise waits for you, Oh God, in Sion; and to you shall the vow be performed.

1 σοί.
1 Praise becomes you, Oh God, in Sion; and to you shall the vow be performed. 1 Praise becomes you, Oh God, in Sion; and to you shall the vow be performed.

2 Oh you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.

2 Hear my prayer; to you all flesh shall come. 2 Hear my prayer; to you all flesh shall come.

3 Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, you shall purge them away.

3 The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but pardon our sins. 3 The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but pardon our sins.

4 Blessed is the man whom you choose, and cause to approach to you, that he may dwell in your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, even of your holy temple.

4 Blessed is he whom you have chosen and adopted; he shall dwell in your courts; we shall be filled with the good things of your house; your temple is holy. 4 Blessed is he whom you have chosen and adopted; he shall dwell in your courts; we shall be filled with the good things of your house; your temple is holy.

5 By terrible things in righteousness will you answer us, Oh God of our salvation; who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of those who are afar off on the sea;

5 You are wonderful in righteousness. Listen to us, Oh God our Saviour; the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of those who are on the sea afar off; 5 You are wonderful in righteousness. Listen to us, Oh God our Saviour; the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of those who are on the sea afar off;

6 Which by his strength sets fast the mountains; being girded with power;

6 who establishes the mountains in your strength, being girded about with power; 6 who establishes the mountains in your strength, being girded about with power;

7 Which stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

7 who troubles the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves. 7 who troubles the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves.

8 They also who dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at your tokens; you make the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

8 The nations shall be troubled, and they who inhabit the ends of the earth shall be afraid of your signs; you will cause the outgoings of morning and evening to rejoice. 8 The nations shall be troubled, and they who inhabit the ends of the earth shall be afraid of your signs; you will cause the outgoings of morning and evening to rejoice.

9 You visit the earth, and water it; you greatly enriches it with the river of God, which is full of water; you prepare them grain, when you have so provided for it.

9 You have visited the earth, and saturated it; you have abundantly enriched it. The river of God is filled with water; you have prepared their food, for thus is the preparation of it. 9 You have visited the earth, and saturated it; you have abundantly enriched it. The river of God is filled with water; you have prepared their food, for thus is the preparation of it.

10 You water the ridges of it abundantly; you settle the furrows of it; you make it soft with showers; you bless the springing of it.

10 Saturate her furrows, multiply her fruits; the crop springing up shall rejoice in its drops. 10 Saturate her furrows, multiply her fruits; the crop springing up shall rejoice in its drops.

11 You crown the year with your goodness; and your paths drop fatness.

11 You will bless the crown of the year because of your goodness; and your plains shall be filled with fatness. 11 You will bless the crown of the year because of your goodness; and your plains shall be filled with fatness.

12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness; and the little hills rejoice on every side.

12 The mountains of the wilderness shall be enriched; and the hills shall gird themselves with joy. 12 The mountains of the wilderness shall be enriched; and the hills shall gird themselves with joy.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.

13 The rams of the flock are clothed with wool, and the valleys shall abound in corn; they shall cry aloud, yes they shall sing hymns. 13 The rams of the flock are clothed with wool, and the valleys shall abound in corn; they shall cry aloud, yes they shall sing hymns.
