6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the flood on foot; there did we rejoice in him.

6 Who turns the sea into dry land; they shall go through the river on foot; there shall we rejoice in him, 6 Who turns the sea into dry land; they shall go through the river on foot; there shall we rejoice in him,

7 He rules by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations; don’t let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

8 Oh bless our God, you people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;

8 Bless our God, you Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise to be heard; 8 Bless our God, you Gentiles, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;

9 Who holds our soul in life, and doesn’t allow our feet to be moved.

9 who quickens my soul in life, and doesn’t suffer my feet to be moved. 9 who quickens my soul in life, and doesn’t suffer my feet to be moved.

10 For you, Oh God, have proved us; you have tried us, as silver is tried.

10 For you, Oh God, have proved us; you have tried us with fire as silver is tried. 10 For you, Oh God, have proved us; you have tried us with fire as silver is tried.

11 You brought us into the net; you laid affliction on our loins.

11 You brought us into the snare; you laid afflictions on our back. 11 You brought us into the snare; you laid afflictions on our back.

12 You have caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; but you brought us out into a wealthy place.

12 You mounted men on our heads; we went through the fire and water; but you brought us out into a place of refreshment. 12 You mounted men on our heads; we went through the fire and water; but you brought us out into a place of refreshment.

13 I will go into your house with burned offerings; I will pay you my vows,

13 I will go into your house with whole-burnt-offerings; I will pay you my vows, 13 I will go into your house with whole-burnt-offerings; I will pay you my vows,

14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth has spoken, when I was in trouble.

14 which my lips framed, and my mouth uttered in my affliction. 14 which my lips framed, and my mouth uttered in my affliction.

15 I will offer to you burned sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

15 I will offer to you whole-burnt-sacrifices full of marrow, with incense and rams; I will sacrifice to you oxen with goats. Pause. 15 I will offer to you whole-burnt-sacrifices full of marrow, with incense and rams; I will sacrifice to you oxen with goats. Pause.

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.

16 Come, hear, and I will tell, all you who fear God, how great things he has done for my soul. 16 Come, hear, and I will tell, all you who fear God, how great things he has done for my soul.

17 I cried to him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

17 I cried to him with my mouth, and exalted him with my tongue. 17 I cried to him with my mouth, and exalted him with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me;

18 If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, don’t let the Lord listen to me. 18 If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, don’t let the Lord listen to me.

19 But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

19 Therefore God has listened to me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. 19 Therefore God has listened to me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, which has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. 20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
