Live As Children of God

See what love the Father has given to us, that we would be called children of God; and we are. Therefore the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. See what love the Father has given to us, that we would be called children of God. Therefore the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when he appears, we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when he appears, we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.
Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
You know that he appeared in order that he might take away sins; and in him there is no sin. You know that he appeared in order that he might take away our sins; and in him there is no sin.
Everyone who remains in him does not keep sinning; everyone who keeps sinning has not seen him or knows him. Everyone who remains in him does not keep sinning; everyone who keeps sinning has not seen him or knows him.
Little children, don’t let anyone deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous; Little children, don’t let anyone deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous;
the one who practices sin is of the devil; because the devil keeps sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, so that he might destroy the works of the devil. the one who practices sin is of the devil; because the devil keeps sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, so that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Everyone who has been born of God does not keep sinning, because his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. Everyone who has been born of God does not keep sinning, because his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed; everyone who doesn’t practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who doesn’t love his brother. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed; everyone who doesn’t practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who doesn’t love his brother.

Love One Another

For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, so that we should love one another; For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, so that we should love one another;
3:12 οὐ καθὼς Κάϊν ἐκ τοῦ πονηροῦ ἦν καὶ ἔσφαξεν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ· καὶ χάριν τίνος ἔσφαξεν αὐτόν;
12 οὐ καθὼς Κάϊν ἐκ τοῦ πονηροῦ ἦν, καὶ ἔσφαξε τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ· καὶ χάριν τίνος ἔσφαξεν αὐτόν;
not as Cain, who was of the evil one and killed his brother. And for what reason did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous. not as Cain, who was of the evil one and killed his brother. And for what reason did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous.
Don’t be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you. Don’t be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
As for us, we know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love remains in death. As for us, we know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.
3:17 ὃς δ᾿ ἄν ἔχῃ τὸν βίον τοῦ κόσμου καὶ θεωρῇ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχοντα καὶ κλείσῃ τὰ σπλάγχνα αὐτοῦ ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ, πῶς ἀγάπη τοῦ θεοῦ μένει ἐν αὐτῷ; 17 ὃς δ᾿ ἄν ἔχῃ τὸν βίον τοῦ κόσμου, καὶ θεωρῇ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχοντα, καὶ κλείσῃ τὰ σπλάγχνα αὐτοῦ ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ, πῶς ἀγάπη τοῦ θεοῦ μένει ἐν αὐτῷ;
But whoever has the possessions of the world, and sees his brother having need and closes his affection against him, how does the love of God remain in him? But whoever has the possessions of the world, and sees his brother having need and closes his affection against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
Little children, let us not love with a word or with a tongue, but in deed and truth. Little children, let us not love with a word or with a tongue, but in deed and truth.

Confidence before God

and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his presence. and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his presence.
This is his commandment, that we might believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and we might love one another, just as he gave a commandment to us. This is his commandment, that we might believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and we might love one another, just as he gave a commandment to us.
The one who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. We know by this that he remains in us, by the Spirit whom he has given to us. The one who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. We know by this that he remains in us, by the Spirit whom he has given to us.
