Deuteronomy

1 And Moses with the elders of Israēl commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

2 And it shall be on the day when you shall pass over Jordan to the land which Yahweh your Elohim gives you, that you shall set you up great stones, and plaster them with plaster.

2 καὶ ἔσται ᾗ ἄν ἡμέρᾳ διαβῆτε τὸν Ἰορδάνην εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἣν κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι, καὶ στήσεις σεαυτῷ λίθους μεγάλους καὶ κονιάσεις αὐτοὺς κονίᾳ	2 καὶ ἔσται ᾗ ἄν ἡμέρᾳ διαβῆτε τὸν Ἰορδάνην εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἣν Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου δίδωσί σοι, καὶ στήσεις σεαυτῷ λίθους μεγάλους καὶ κονιάσεις αὐτοὺς κονίᾳ

9 And Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israēl, saying, “Take heed, and listen, Oh Israēl; this day you are become the people of Yahweh your Elohim.

9 καὶ ἐλάλησεν Μωυσῆς καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ Λευῖται παντὶ Ἰσραὴλ λέγοντες σιώπα καὶ ἄκουε, Ἰσραήλ· ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ γέγονας εἰς λαὸν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου·	9 Καὶ ἐλάλησε Μωυσῆς καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ Λευῖται παντὶ Ἰσραὴλ λέγοντες· σιώπα καὶ ἄκουε, Ἰσραήλ· ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ γέγονας εἰς λαὸν Κυρίῳ τῷ Θεῷ σου·
9 And Moses and the Levitical priests, spoke to all Israēl, saying; Keep silent, and hear, Oh Israēl! 10 καὶ εἰσακούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ ποιήσεις πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοί σήμερον.	10 καὶ εἰσακούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου καὶ ποιήσεις πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον.

11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

12 “These shall stand on mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.

12 οὗτοι στήσονται εὐλογεῖν τὸν λαὸν ἐν ὄρει Γαριζὶν διαβάντες τὸν Ἰορδάνην· Συμεών, Λευί, Ἰούδας, Ἰσσαχάρ, Ἰωσὴφ καὶ Βενιαμίν.	12 οὗτοι στήσονται εὐλογεῖν τὸν λαὸν ἐν ὄρει Γαριζὶν διαβάντες τὸν Ἰορδάνην· Συμεών, Λευί, Ἰούδας, Ἰσσάχαρ, Ἰωσὴφ καὶ Βενιαμίν.

14 And the Levites shall speak, and say to all the men of Israēl with a loud voice,

15 ‘Cursed is the one who makes any carved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place.’ And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’

15 ἐπικατάρατος ἄνθρωπος, ὅστις ποιήσει γλυπτὸν καὶ χωνευτόν, βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ, ἔργον χειρῶν τεχνίτου, καὶ θήσει αὐτὸ ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ· καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἐροῦσιν γένοιτο.	15 Ἐπικατάρατος ἄνθρωπος, ὅστις ποιήσει γλυπτὸν καὶ χωνευτόν, βδέλυγμα Κυρίῳ, ἔργον χειρῶν τεχνιτῶν, καὶ θήσει αὐτὸ ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ· καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἐροῦσι· γένοιτο.

17 ‘Cursed is the one who removes his neighbour’s landmark.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

18 ‘Cursed is the one who makes the blind to wander out of the way.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

19 ‘Cursed is the one who perverts the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

20 ἐπικατάρατος ὁ κοιμώμενος μετὰ γυναικὸς τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἀπεκάλυψεν συγκάλυμμα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐροῦσιν πᾶς ὁ λαός γένοιτο.	20 ἐπικατάρατος ὁ κοιμώμενος μετὰ γυναικὸς τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἀπεκάλυψε συγκάλυμμα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐροῦσι πᾶς ὁ λαός· γένοιτο.

21 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with any manner of beast.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

22 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

23 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

23 ἐπικατάρατος ὁ κοιμώμενος μετὰ πενθερᾶς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐροῦσιν πᾶς ὁ λαός γένοιτο. ἐπικατάρατος ὁ κοιμώμενος μετὰ ἀδελφῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐροῦσιν πᾶς ὁ λαός γένοιτο.	23 ἐπικατάρατος ὁ κοιμώμενος μετὰ πενθερᾶς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐροῦσι πᾶς ὁ λαός· γένοιτο. ἐπικατάρατος ὁ κοιμώμενος μετὰ τῆς ἀδελφῆς τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐροῦσι πᾶς ὁ λαός· γένοιτο.
23 “Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.” And all the people shall say, “May it be!” “Cursed is the one who lies with his wife’s sister.” And all the people shall say, “May it be!”	23 “Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.” And all the people shall say, “May it be!” “Cursed is the one who lies with his wife’s sister.” And all the people shall say, “May it be!”

24 ‘Cursed is the one who hits his neighbour secretly.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

24 ἐπικατάρατος ὁ τύπτων τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ δόλῳ· καὶ ἐροῦσιν πᾶς ὁ λαός γένοιτο.	24 ἐπικατάρατος ὁ τύπτων τὸν πλησίον δόλῳ· καὶ ἐροῦσι πᾶς ὁ λαός· γένοιτο.

25 ‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

25 ἐπικατάρατος ὃς ἄν λάβῃ δῶρα πατάξαι ψυχὴν αἵματος ἀθῴου· καὶ ἐροῦσιν πᾶς ὁ λαός γένοιτο.	25 ἐπικατάρατος ὃς ἄν λάβῃ δῶρα πατάξαι ψυχὴν αἵματος ἀθῴου· καὶ ἐροῦσι πᾶς ὁ λαός· γένοιτο.

26 ‘Cursed is the one who doesn’t confirm all the words of this law to do them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

26 ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ἄνθρωπος, ὃς οὐκ ἐμμενεῖ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς λόγοις τοῦ νόμου τούτου τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτούς· καὶ ἐροῦσιν πᾶς ὁ λαός γένοιτο.	26 ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ὃς οὐκ ἐμμενεῖ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς λόγοις τοῦ νόμου τούτου ποιῆσαι αὐτούς· καὶ ἐροῦσι πᾶς ὁ λαός· γένοιτο.
