Deuteronomy

1 “And it will happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that Yahweh your Elohim will set you on high above all nations of the earth.

7 Yahweh shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be smitten before your face; they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.

8 Yahweh shall command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which Yahweh your Elohim gives you.

9 Yahweh shall establish you a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your Elohim, and walk in his ways.

11 And Yahweh shall make you plenteous in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give you.

12 Yahweh shall open to you his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in his season, and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, and you shall not borrow.

12 May the Lord open for you his good treasury, the sky, to give the rain to your land in its season, to bless all the works of your hands. And you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. 13 And Yahweh shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your Elohim, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them.

14 And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 But it will happen, if you won’t listen to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come on you, and overtake you.

20 Yahweh shall send on you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the wickedness of your doings, by which you have forsaken me.

21 Yahweh shall make the pestilence cling to you, until he has consumed you from off the land, to which you go to possess.

22 Yahweh shall smite you with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.

23 And the sky that is over your head shall be bronze, and the earth that is under you shall be iron.

24 Yahweh shall make the rain of your land powder and dust; from the sky it will come down on you, until you are destroyed.

25 Yahweh shall cause you to be smitten before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them; and shall be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
