1 And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

7 then they shall confess their sin which they have done; and he shall recompense his trespass with its principal, and add to it the fifth part of it, and give it to him against whom he has trespassed.

8 But if the man has no kinsman to whom to recompense the trespass, let the trespass be recompensed to Yahweh, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, by which an atonement shall be made for him.

13 καὶ κοιμηθῇ τις μετ’ αὐτῆς κοίτην σπέρματος καὶ λάθῃ ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ κρύψῃ, αὐτὴ δὲ ᾖ μεμιαμμένη καὶ μάρτυς μὴ ἦν μετ’ αὐτῆς καὶ αὐτὴ μὴ ᾖ συνειλημμένη,	13 καὶ κοιμηθῇ τις μετ’ αὐτῆς κοίτην σπέρματος, καὶ λάθῃ ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ κρύψῃ, αὐτὴ δὲ ᾖ μεμιασμένη καὶ μάρτυς μὴ ἦν μετ’ αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτὴ μὴ ᾖ συνειλημμένη,

15 then shall the man bring his wife to the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil on it, nor put frankincense on it; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before Yahweh.

17 καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ὕδωρ καθαρὸν ζῶν ἐν ἀγγείῳ ὀστρακίνῳ καὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τοῦ ἐδάφους τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ λαβὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐμβαλεῖ εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ,	17 καὶ λήψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ὕδωρ καθαρὸν ζῶν ἐν ἀγγείῳ ὀστρακίνῳ καὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τοῦ ἐδάφους τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ λαβὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς ἔμβαλεῖ εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ.

19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you haven’t gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of your husband, be free from this bitter water that causes the curse.

21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say to the woman, “May Yahweh make you a curse and an oath among your people, when Yahweh makes your thigh to rot, and your belly to swell;

21 καὶ ὁρκιεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν γυναῖκα ἐν τοῖς ὅρκοις τῆς ἀρᾶς ταύτης, καὶ ἐρεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τῇ γυναικί Δῴη κύριός σὲ ἐν ἀρᾷ καὶ ἐνόρκιον ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ λαοῦ σου ἐν τῷ δοῦναι κύριον τὸν μηρόν σου διαπεπτωκότα καὶ τὴν κοιλίαν σου πεπρησμένην,	21 καὶ ὁρκιεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν γυναῖκα ἐν τοῖς ὅρκοις τῆς ἀρᾶς ταύτης, καὶ ἐρεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τῇ γυναικί· δῴη σε Κύριος ἐν ἀρᾷ καὶ ἐνόρκιον ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἐν τῷ δοῦναι Κύριον τὸν μηρόν σου διαπεπτωκότα, καὶ τὴν κοιλίαν σου πεπρησμένην,
21 then the priest shall make the woman take an oath by the oaths of this curse, and the priest shall say to the woman, “May the Lord make you as a curse and bound by oath in the midst of your people, when the Lord makes your thigh rot away and your womb swell,	21 then the priest shall make the woman take an oath by the oaths of this curse, and the priest shall say to the woman, “May the Lord make you as a curse and bound by oath in the midst of your people, when the Lord makes your thigh rot away and your womb swell,

22 and this water that causes the curse shall go into your bowels, to make your belly to swell, and your thigh to rot.” And the woman shall say, “Amen, amen.”

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water.
