1 Rejoice in Yahweh, Oh you righteous; for praise is comely for the upright.

רַנְּנוּ צַדִּיקִים בַּיהוָה לַיְשָׁרִים נָאוָה תְהִלָּה׃

הֹודוּ לַיהוָה בְּכִנֹּור בְּנֵבֶל עָשֹׂור זַמְּרוּ ־ לֹו׃

4 For the word of Yahweh is right; and all his works are done in truth.

כִּי ־ יָשָׁר דְּבַר ־ יְהוָה וְכָל ־ מַעֲשֵׂהוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָה׃

5 He loves righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the goodness of Yahweh.

6 By the word of Yahweh were the heavens made; and all the army of them by the breath of his mouth.

8 Let all the earth fear Yahweh; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

יִירְאוּ מֵיְהוָה כָּל ־ הָאָרֶץ מִמֶּנּוּ יָגוּרוּ כָּל ־ יֹשְׁבֵי תֵבֵל׃

9 For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 Yahweh brings the counsel of the heathen to nothing; he makes the devices of the people of no effect.

יְהוָה הֵפִיר עֲצַת ־ גֹּויִם הֵנִיא מַחְשְׁבֹות עַמִּים׃

11 The counsel of Yahweh stands for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

עֲצַת יְהוָה לְעֹולָם תַּעֲמֹד מַחְשְׁבֹות לִבֹּו לְדֹר וָדֹר׃

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

13 Yahweh looks from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.

מִשָּׁמַיִם הִבִּיט יְהוָה רָאָה אֶת ־ כָּל ־ בְּנֵי הָאָדָם׃

מִמְּכֹון ־ שִׁבְתֹּו הִשְׁגִּיחַ אֶל כָּל ־ יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ׃

הַיֹּצֵר יַחַד לִבָּם הַמֵּבִין אֶל ־ כָּל ־ מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם׃

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

אֵין ־ הַמֶּלֶךְ נֹושָׁע בְּרָב ־ חָיִל גִּבֹּור לֹא ־ יִנָּצֵל בְּרָב ־ כֹּחַ׃

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

שֶׁקֶר הַסּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָה וּבְרֹב חֵילֹו לֹא יְמַלֵּט׃

18 Behold, the eye of Yahweh is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his mercy;

הִנֵּה עֵין יְהוָה אֶל ־ יְרֵאָיו לַמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדֹּו׃

18 Ἰδοὺ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου ἐπὶ τοὺς φοβουμένους αὐτόν, τοὺς ἐλπίζοντας ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ,	18 ἰδοὺ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ Κυρίου ἐπὶ τοὺς φοβουμένους αὐτὸν τοὺς ἐλπίζοντας ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ,

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

לְהַצִּיל מִמָּוֶת נַפְשָׁם וּלְחַיֹּותָם בָּרָעָב׃

20 Our soul waits for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield.

נַפְשֵׁנוּ חִכְּתָה לַיהוָה עֶזְרֵנוּ וּמָגִנֵּנוּ הוּא׃

22 Let your mercy, Oh Yahweh, be on us, according as we hope in you.
