Deuteronomy

1 “At that time Yahweh said to me, ‘Cut out two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me into the mountain, and make an ark of wood.

1 Ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με λάξευσον σεαυτῷ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας ὥσπερ τὰς πρώτας καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος· καὶ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ κιβωτὸν ξυλίνην·	1 ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ εἶπε Κύριος πρός με· λάξευσον σεαυτῷ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας, ὥσπερ τὰς πρώτας, καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος· καὶ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ κιβωτὸν ξυλίνην·

3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like the first, and went up into the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.

4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spoke to you in the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and Yahweh gave them to me.

6 And the sons of Israēl took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera; there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead.

10 “And I stayed in the mountain, according to the first time, 40 days and 40 nights; and Yahweh listened to me at that time also, and Yahweh was not wanting to destroy you.

10 κἀγὼ εἱστήκειν ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας, καὶ εἰσήκουσεν κύριος ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τούτῳ, καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν κύριος ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ὑμᾶς.	10 κἀγὼ εἱστήκειν ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας, καὶ εἰσήκουσε Κύριος ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τούτῳ, καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησε Κύριος ἐξολοθρεῦσαι ὑμᾶς.
10 And I stayed on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights. And the Lord listened to me in that time also. 11 And Yahweh said to me, ‘Arise, take your journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them.’

12 And now, Israēl, what does Yahweh your Elohim require of you, but to fear Yahweh your Elohim, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul,

13 to keep the commandments of Yahweh, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?

16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.

17 For Yahweh your Elohim is Elohim of Elohim, and Adonai of Adonai, a great El, a mighty, and a terrible, which doesn’t regard persons, nor takes reward.

17 ὁ γὰρ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν, οὗτος θεὸς τῶν θεῶν καὶ κύριος τῶν κυρίων, ὁ θεὸς ὁ μέγας καὶ ἰσχυρὸς καὶ ὁ φοβερός, ὅστις οὐ θαυμάζει πρόσωπον οὐδ’ οὐ μὴ λάβῃ δῶρον,	17 ὁ γὰρ Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ὑμῶν οὗτος Θεὸς τῶν θεῶν καὶ Κύριος τῶν κυρίων, ὁ Θεὸς ὁ μέγας· καὶ ἰσχυρὸς καὶ φοβερός, ὅστις οὐ θαυμάζει πρόσωπον, οὐδ’ οὐ μὴ λάβῃ δῶρον,

18 He executes the justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the stranger, by giving him food and clothing.

22 Your fathers went down into Egypt with 70 persons; and now Yahweh your Elohim has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.”
