For the end, for Idithun, a Psalm of Asaph. | For the end, for Idithun, a Psalm of Asaph. |
1 I cried to God with my voice, even to God with my voice; and he gave ear to me.

2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; my sore ran in the night, and didn’t cease; my soul refused to be comforted.
2 In the day of my affliction I earnestly sought the Lord; even with my hands by night before him, and I was not deceived; my soul refused to be comforted. | 2 In the day of my affliction I earnestly sought the Lord; even with my hands by night before him, and I was not deceived; my soul refused to be comforted. |

4 You hold my eyes waking; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
4 All my enemies set a watch against me; I was troubled, and spoke not. | 4 All my enemies set a watch against me; I was troubled, and spoke not. |
5 I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.

5 I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient years. | 5 I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient years. |
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night; I commune with my own heart; and my spirit made diligent search.
6 And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, saying, | 6 And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, saying, |
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be favourable no more?

7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be well pleased no more? | 7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be well pleased no more? |
8 Is his mercy clean gone for ever? Does his promise fail for evermore?
ἢ

10 And I said, This is my infirmity; but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.

11 I will remember the works of Yahweh; surely I will remember your wonders of old.

13 Your way, Oh God, is in the sanctuary; who is so great a God as our God?

13 Oh God, your way is in the sanctuary; who is a great God as our God? | 13 Oh God, your way is in the sanctuary; who is a great God as our God? |
14 You are the God who does wonders; you have declared your strength among the people.

16 The waters saw you, Oh God, the waters saw you; they were afraid; the depths also were troubled.
