Ruth

1 Then Boaz went up to the gate, and sat down there. And, suddenly, the redeemer of whom Boaz spoke came by; to whom he said, “Hey, friend, come aside, sit down here.” And he turned aside, and sat down.

4 κἀγὼ εἶπα, ἀποκαλύψω τὸ οὖς σου λέγων, κτῆσαι ἐναντίον τῶν καθημένων καὶ ἐναντίον τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ μου· εἰ ἀγχιστεύεις, ἀγχίστευε· εἰ δὲ μὴ ἀγχιστεύεις, ἀνάγγειλόν μοι καὶ γνώσομαι· ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν πάρεξ σου τοῦ ἀγχιστεῦσαι, κἀγώ εἰμι μετὰ σέ. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, ἐγώ εἰμι ἀγχιστεύσω.	4 κἀγὼ εἶπα· ἀποκαλύψω τὸ οὖς σου λέγων· κτῆσαι ἐναντίον τῶν καθημένων καὶ ἐναντίον τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ μου· εἰ ἀγχιστεύεις, ἀγχίστευε· εἰ δὲ μὴ ἀγχιστεύεις, ἀνάγγειλόν μοι καὶ γνώσομαι· ὅτι οὐκ ἔστι πάρεξ σοῦ τοῦ ἀγχιστεῦσαι, κἀγώ εἰμι μετὰ σέ. ὁ δὲ εἶπε· ἐγώ εἰμι, ἀγχιστεύσω.
4 and I said, I will disclose to your ear, saying, Redeem it before those sitting, and before the elders of my people. If you are redeeming it, redeem it, but if you are not redeeming it, tell me, and I will know; because there is no one other than you to have the right of a close relative, and I am after you. 5 Then Boaz said, “The day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.”

6 And the kinsman said, “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance. Redeem my right for yourself; for I cannot redeem it.”

6 And the close relative said, “I won’t be able to do the right of a close relative for myself, lest I spoil my own inheritance. Do the right of a close relative for yourself, my close relative, for I won’t be able to do the right of a close relative.”	6 And the close relative said, “I won’t be able to do the right of a close relative for myself, lest I spoil my own inheritance. Do the right of a close relative for yourself, my close relative, for I won’t be able to do the right of a close relative.”

7 Now this was the manner in former time in Israēl concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things, a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour; and this was a testimony in Israēl.

8 Therefore the kinsman said to Boaz, “Buy it for yourself.” So he drew off his shoe.

11 And all the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May Yahweh make the woman who is come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two built the house of Israēl; and do worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem.

13 So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife; and when he went in to her, Yahweh gave her conception, and she gave birth to a son.

14 And the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be Yahweh, who has not left you this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israēl.

21 καὶ Σαλμὼν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Βοόζ, καὶ Βοὸζ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ὠβήδ,	21 καὶ Σαλμὰν ἐγέννησε τὸν Βοόζ, καὶ Βοὸζ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ὠβήδ,
