1 Oh Yahweh Elohim, to whom vengeance belongs; Oh God, to whom vengeance belongs, show yourself.

1 [Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυίδ, τετράδι σαββάτων.] Ὁ θεὸς ἐκδικήσεων κύριος, ὁ θεὸς ἐκδικήσεων ἐπαρρησιάσατο.	1 Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυΐδ, τετράδι σαββάτου. — Θεός ἐκδικήσεων Κύριος, Θεὸς ἐκδικήσεων ἐπαρρησιάσατο.

2 Lift up yourself, you judge of the earth; render a reward to the proud.

3 Yahweh, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? And all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

4 φθέγξονται καὶ λαλήσουσιν ἀδικίαν, λαλήσουσιν πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν;	4 φθέγξονται καὶ λαλήσουσιν ἀδικίαν, λαλήσουσι πάντες οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι τὴν ἀνομίαν;

5 They break in pieces your people, Oh Yahweh, and afflict your heritage.

6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7 Yet they say, Yahweh shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacōb regard it.

8 Understand, you brutish among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise?

9 He who planted the ear, he shall not hear? He who formed the eye, he shall not see?

9 ὁ φυτεύσας τὸ οὖς οὐχὶ ἀκούει, ἢ ὁ πλάσας τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν οὐ κατανοεῖ;	9 ὁ φυτεύσας τὸ οὖς οὐχὶ ἀκούει; ἢ ὁ πλάσας τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν οὐχὶ κατανοεῖ;

10 He who chastens the heathen, shall not he correct? He who teaches man knowledge, shall not he know?

10 ὁ παιδεύων ἔθνη οὐχὶ ἐλέγξει, ὁ διδάσκων ἄνθρωπον γνῶσιν,	10 ὁ παιδεύων ἔθνη οὐχὶ ἐλέγξει; ὁ διδάσκων ἄνθρωπον γνῶσιν;

11 Yahweh knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man whom you chastens, Oh Yahweh, and teaches him out of your law;

13 That you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be dug for the wicked.

15 But judgment shall return to righteousness; and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 Unless Yahweh had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

17 εἰ μὴ ὅτι κύριος ἐβοήθησέν μοι, παρὰ βραχὺ παρῴκησεν τῷ ᾅδῃ ἡ ψυχή μου.	17 εἰ μὴ ὅτι Κύριος ἐβοήθησέ μοι, παρὰ βραχὺ παρῴκησε τῷ ᾅδῃ ἡ ψυχή μου.

18 When I said, My foot slips; your mercy, Oh Yahweh, held me up.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.

19 κύριε, κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν ὀδυνῶν μου ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου αἱ παρακλήσεις σου ἠγάπησαν τὴν ψυχήν μου.	19 Κύριε, κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν ὀδυνῶν μου ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου αἱ παρακλήσεις σου εὔφραναν τὴν ψυχήν μου.

20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with you, who frames mischief by a law?

20 Μὴ συμπροσέσται σοί θρόνος ἀνομίας, ὁ πλάσσων κόπον ἐπὶ προστάγματι;	20 μὴ συμπροσέστω σοι θρόνος ἀνομίας, ὁ πλάσσων κόπον ἐπὶ πρόσταγμα.

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But Yahweh is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

22 καὶ ἐγένετό μοι κύριος εἰς καταφυγεῖν καὶ ὁ θεός μου εἰς βοηθὸν ἐλπίδος μου·	22 καὶ ἐγένετό μοι Κύριος εἰς καταφυγὴν καὶ ὁ Θεός μου εἰς βοηθὸν ἐλπίδος μου·

23 And he shall bring on them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yes, Yahweh our Elohim shall cut them off.
