1 Plead my cause, Oh Yahweh, with those who quarrel with me; fight against those who fight against me.

2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

4 Let them be confounded and put to shame who seek after my soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion who devise my hurt.

5 Let them be as chaff before the wind; and let the angel of Yahweh chase them.

8 Let destruction come on him at unawares; and let his net that he has hid catch himself; into that very destruction let him fall.

8 Ἐλθέτω αὐτοῖς παγίς ἣν οὐ γινώσκουσιν, καὶ ἡ θήρα ἣν ἔκρυψαν, συλλαβέτω αὐτούς, καὶ ἐν τῇ παγίδι πεσοῦνται ἐν αὐτῇ.	8 ἐλθέτω αὐτῷ παγίς, ἣν οὐ γινώσκει, καὶ ἡ θήρα, ἣν ἔκρυψε, συλλαβέτω αὐτόν, καὶ ἐν τῇ παγίδι πεσεῖται ἐν αὐτῇ.

9 And my soul shall be joyful in Yahweh; it shall rejoice in his salvation.

10 All my bones shall say, Yahweh, who is like to you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him who spoils him?

10 πάντα τὰ ὀστᾶ μου ἐροῦσιν, κύριε τίς ὅμοιός σοι; ῥυόμενος πτωχὸν ἐκ χειρὸς στερεωτέρων αὐτοῦ, καὶ πτωχὸν καὶ πένητα ἀπὸ τῶν διαρπαζόντων αὐτόν.	10 πάντας τὰ ὀστᾶ μου ἐροῦσι· Κύριε, τίς ὅμοιός σοι; ῥυόμενος πτωχὸν ἐκ χειρὸς στερεωτέρων αὐτοῦ καὶ πτωχὸν καὶ πένητα ἀπὸ τῶν διαρπαζόντων αὐτόν.

11 False witnesses rose up; they laid to my charge things that I didn’t know.

12 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into my own bosom.

13 ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν τῷ αὐτοὺς παρενοχλεῖν μοι ἐνεδυόμην σάκκον· καὶ ἐταπείνουν ἐν νηστείᾳ τὴν ψυχήν μου, καὶ ἡ προσευχή μου εἰς κόλπον μου ἀποστραφήσεται.	13 ἐγὼ δὲ ἐν τῷ αὐτοὺς παρενοχλεῖν μοι ἐνεδυόμην σάκκον καὶ ἐταπείνουν ἐν νηστείᾳ τὴν ψυχήν μου, καὶ ἡ προσευχή μου εἰς κόλπον μου ἀποστραφήσεται.

14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother; I bowed down heavily, as one who mourns for his mother.

15 But in my adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together; yes, the attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it; they tore me, and ceased not;

16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed on me with their teeth.

17 Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

18 I will give you thanks in the great congregation; I will praise you among much people.

19 Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

20 For they don’t speak peace; but they devise deceitful matters against those who are quiet in the land.

22 This you have seen, Oh Yahweh; keep not silence; Oh Lord, don’t be far from me.

23 Stir up yourself, and awake to my judgment, even to my cause, my God and my Lord.

24 Judge me, Oh Yahweh my Elohim, according to your righteousness; and don’t let them rejoice over me.

26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together who rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour who magnify themselves against me.

26 αἰσχυνθείησαν καὶ ἐντραπείησαν ἅμα οἱ ἐπιχαίροντες τοῖς κακοῖς μου· ἐνδυσάσθωσαν αἰσχύνην καὶ ἐντῥοπὴν οἱ μεγαλορρημονοῦντες ἐπ’ ἐμέ.	26 αἰσχυνθείησαν καὶ ἐντραπείησαν ἅμα οἱ ἐπιχαίροντες τοῖς κακοῖς μου, ἐνδυσάσθωσαν αἰσχύνην καὶ ἐντῥοπὴν οἱ μεγαλοῤῥημονοῦντες ἐπ’ ἐμέ.

27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, who favour my righteous cause; yes, let them say continually, Let Yahweh be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

27 ἀγαλλιάσαιντο καὶ εὐφρανθείησαν οἱ θέλοντες τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου, καὶ εἰπάτωσαν διὰ παντός, μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ κύριος, οἱ θέλοντες τὴν εἰρήνην τοῦ δούλου αὐτοῦ.	27 ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν οἱ θέλοντες τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου καὶ εἰπάτωσαν διαπαντός· μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ Κύριος, οἱ θέλοντες τὴν εἰρήνην τοῦ δούλου αὐτοῦ.

28 And my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.
