(LXX 35)

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of Yahweh.

For the end, attributed to David the servant of the Lord. For the end, attributed to David the servant of the Lord.

1 The transgression of the wicked says within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

1 The transgressor of sin says within himself, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. 1 The transgressor of sin says within himself, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

2 because he dealt deceitfully before him, to find his iniquity and hate it. 2 because he dealt deceitfully before him, to find his iniquity and hate it.

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has left off to be wise, and to do good.

3 The words of his mouth are lawlessness and deceit; he didn’t plan to be sensible to do good. 3 The words of his mouth are lawlessness and deceit; he didn’t plan to be sensible to do good.

4 He devises mischief on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he doesn’t abhor evil.

4 He plotted lawlessness on his bed; he stood beside every road that was not good, and he didn’t treat evil with contempt. 4 He plotted lawlessness on his bed; he stood beside every road that was not good, and he didn’t treat evil with contempt.

5 Your mercy, Oh Yahweh, is in the heavens; and your faithfullness reaches to the clouds.

5 Oh Lord, your mercy is in the sky, and your truth is as far as the clouds. 5 Oh Lord, your mercy is in the sky, and your truth is as far as the clouds.

6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep; Oh Yahweh, you preserves man and beast.

6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are a great deep; Oh Lord you will save men and animals. 6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are a great deep; Oh Lord you will save men and animals.

7 How excellent is your lovingkindness, Oh God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings.

7 How you increased your mercy, Oh God! But the sons of men will be confident in the shelter of your wings. 7 How you increased your mercy, Oh God! But the sons of men will be confident in the shelter of your wings.

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house; and you shall make them drink of the river of your pleasures.

8 They will be intoxicated with the fatness of your home, and you will give them drink from the stream of your delight, 8 They will be intoxicated with the fatness of your home, and you will give them drink from the stream of your delight,

9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light shall we see light.

9 Because with you is the fountain of life; in your light we shall see light. 9 Because with you is the fountain of life; in your light we shall see light.

10 Oh continue your lovingkindness to those who know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.

10 Extend your mercy to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart. 10 Extend your mercy to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart.

11 Don’t let the foot of pride come against me, and don’t let the hand of the wicked remove me.

11 Don’t let the foot of arrogance come to me, and may the hand of sinners not shake me. 11 Don’t let the foot of arrogance come to me, and may the hand of sinners not shake me.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen; they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

12 Those who practice lawlessness fell there; they were driven out and will be unable to stand. 12 Those who practice lawlessness fell there; they were driven out and will be unable to stand.
