1 I waited patiently for Yahweh; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry.

3 And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in Yahweh.

4 Blessed is that man who makes Yahweh his trust, and doesn’t respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

5 Many, Oh Yahweh my Elohim, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us; they cannot be reckoned up in order to you; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

6 Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire; my ears have you opened; burned offering and sin offering have you not required.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come; in the volume of the book it is written of me,

8 I delight to do your will, Oh my God; yes, your law is within my heart.

10 I haven’t hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfullness and your salvation; I haven’t concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great congregation.

10 τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου, οὐκ ἔκρυψα ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου, καὶ τὸ σωτήριον σου εἶπα· οὐκ ἔκρυψα τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου ἀπὸ συναγωγῆς πολλῆς.	10 τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου οὐκ ἔκρυψα ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου, τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου καὶ τὸ σωτήριόν σου εἶπα, οὐκ ἔκρυψα τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου ἀπὸ συναγωγῆς πολλῆς.
10 I didn’t hide your righteousness in my heart; I spoke of your truth and your salvation. 11 Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Oh Yahweh; let your lovingkindness and your truth continually preserve me.

12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me about; my iniquities have taken hold on me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore my heart fails me.

12 ὅτι περιέσχον με κακά, ὧν οὐκ ἔστιν ἀριθμός, κατέλαβόν με αἱ ἀνομίαι μου, καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθην τοῦ βλέπειν· ἐπληθύνθησαν ὑπὲρ τὰς τρίχας τῆς κεφαλῆς μου, καὶ ἡ καρδία μου ἐγκατέλιπέν με.	12 ὅτι περιέσχον με κακά, ὧν οὐκ ἐστιν ἀριθμός, κατέλαβόν με αἱ ἀνομίαι μου, καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθην τοῦ βλέπειν· ἐπληθύνθησαν ὑπὲρ τὰς τρίχας τῆς κεφαλῆς μου, καὶ ἡ καρδία μου ἐγκατέλιπέ με.

13 Be pleased, Oh Yahweh, to deliver me; Oh Yahweh, make haste to help me.

14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame who wish me evil.

14 καταισχυνθείησαν καὶ ἐντραπείησαν ἅμα οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχήν μου, τοῦ ἐξᾶραι αὐτήν· ἀποστραφείησαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω, καὶ ἐντραπείησαν οἱ θέλοντές μοι κακά.	14 καταισχυνθείησαν καὶ ἐντραπείησαν ἅμα οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχήν μου τοῦ ἐξᾶραι αὐτήν· ἀποστραφείησαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω καὶ καταισχυνθείησαν οἱ θέλοντές μοι κακά·

15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame who say to me, Aha, aha.

16 Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let such as love your salvation say continually, Yahweh be magnified.

16 ἀγαλλιάσαιντο καὶ εὐφρανθείησαν ἐπὶ σοί πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντές σὲ κύριε· καὶ εἰπάτωσαν διὰ παντός, μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ κύριος, οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ σωτήριον σου.	16 ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν ἐπὶ σοί πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντές σε, Κύριε, καὶ εἰπάτωσαν διαπαντός· μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ Κύριος, οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ σωτήριόν σου.

17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks on me; you are my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, Oh my God.
