NASTextRec

Salutation

The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth.
Beloved, I pray concerning all things that you may prosper and be healthy, just as your soul prospers. Beloved, I pray concerning all things that you may prosper and be healthy, just as your soul prospers.
For I was very glad when some brothers came and were testifying to your truth, just as you are walking in truth. For I was very glad when some brothers came and were testifying to your truth, just as you are walking in truth.
I have no greater joy than these things, that I may hear my children walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than these things, that I may hear my children walking in the truth.

Cooperation and Opposition

Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brothers and these strangers; Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brothers and these strangers;
who have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a way worthy of God. who have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a way worthy of God.
For they went out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. For they went out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
Therefore we ought to receive such men, so that we may become co-workers in the truth. Therefore we ought to receive such men, so that we may become co-workers in the truth.
I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephēs, who loves to be first among them, doesn’t receive us. I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephēs, who loves to be first among them, doesn’t receive us.
For this reason, if I come, I will draw attention to his works which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself doesn’t receive the brothers, also, and he forbids those who want to do so and puts them out of the church. For this reason, if I come, I will draw attention to his works which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself doesn’t receive the brothers, also, and he forbids those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.
Beloved, stop imitating what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God. Beloved, stop imitating what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
Dēmētrius has received a good testimony from all, and from the truth itself; and we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true. Dēmētrius has received a good testimony from all, and from the truth itself; and we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true.

Final Greetings

I had many things to write to you, but I don’t want to write them to you with ink and pen; I had many things to write to you, but I don’t want to write them to you with ink and pen;
