Exodus

1 And Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him.

1 Εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραώ· ἐγὼ γὰρ ἐσκλήρυνα αὐτοῦ τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ, ἵνα ἑξῆς ἐπέλθῃ τὰ σημεῖα ταῦτα ἐπ’ αὐτούς·	1 Εἶπε δὲ Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραώ· ἐγὼ γὰρ ἐσκλήρυνα αὐτοῦ τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ, ἵνα ἑξῆς ἐπέλθῃ τὰ σημεῖα ταῦτα ἐπ’ αὐτούς·

3 And Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh Elohim of the Hebrews, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.

5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth; and they shall eat the residue of what is escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field.

7 And Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh their God. Don’t you know yet that Egypt is destroyed?”

7 Then the attendants of Pharaō are saying to him, “For how long will this be a hindrance for us? Send out the people so that they may serve the Lord their God. 8 And they brought back both Moses and Aarōn to Pharaō, and he said to them, “Go! Serve the Lord your God. 10 And he said to them, “Let Yahweh be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

10 And he said to them, “Let the Lord so be with you. According as I am sending you, I should not also send your belongings, should I? 11 Not so: go now you who are men, and serve Yahweh; for that you did desire.” And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.

12 And Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.”

13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

13 καὶ ἐπῆρεν Μωυσῆς τὴν ῥάβδον εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ κύριος ἐπήγαγεν ἄνεμον νότον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην καὶ ὅλην τὴν νύκτα· τὸ πρωῒ ἐγενήθη, καὶ ὁ ἄνεμος ὁ νότος ἀνέλαβεν τὴν ἀκρίδα	13 καὶ ἐπῇρε Μωυσῆς τὴν ῥάβδον εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν, καὶ Κύριος ἐπήγαγεν ἄνεμον νότον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην καὶ ὅλην τὴν νύκτα· τὸ πρωῒ ἐγενήθη, καὶ ὁ ἄνεμος ὁ νότος ἀνέλαβε ἀνέλαβε τὴν ἀκρίδα
13 And Moses lifted up the rod towards the sky, and the Lord brought up a south wind on the land that whole day and whole night. 14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained none green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, “I have sinned against Yahweh your Elohim, and against you.

18 And he went out from Pharaoh, and entreated Yahweh.

19 And Yahweh turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

20 But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the sons of Israēl go.

23 And for three days, no one saw his brother and no one rose up from his bed. 24 And Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, “Go! Serve Yahweh; only let your flocks and your herds remain; let your little ones also go with you.”

24 καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Φαραὼ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν λέγων βαδίζετε, λατρεύσατε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν· πλὴν τῶν προβάτων καὶ τῶν βοῶν ὑπολίπεσθε· καὶ ἡ ἀποσκευὴ ὑμῶν ἀποτρεχέτω μεθ’ ὑμῶν.	24 καὶ ἐκάλεσε Φαραὼ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν λέγων· βαδίζετε, λατρεύσατε Κυρίῳ τῷ Θεῷ ὑμῶν, πλὴν τῶν προβάτων καὶ τῶν βοῶν ὑπολείπεσθε· καὶ ἡ ἀποσκευὴ ὑμῶν ἀποτρεχέτω μεθ’ ὑμῶν,
24 And Pharaō summoned Moses and Aarōn, saying, “Go! Serve the Lord your God. Except leave behind the sheep and cattle. 26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind; for of it must we take to serve Yahweh our Elohim; and we don’t know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come to that place.”

27 But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said to him, “Get you from me, be careful, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die.”

29 And Moses said, “You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.”
