λέγει αὐτῷ, ναὶ κύριε· σὺ οἶδας ὅτι φιλῶ σε.
λέγει αὐτῷ, βόσκε τὰ ἀρνία μου.
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simōn Peter, “Simōn, son of Jōhn, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simōn Peter, “Simōn, son of Jōnah, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

He said to him again a second time, “Simōn, son of Jōhn, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Shepherd my sheep.” He said to him again a second time, “Simōn, son of Jōnah, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Shepherd my sheep.”

21:18 ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, ὅτε ἦς νεώτερος, ἐζώννυες σεαυτὸν καὶ περιεπάτεις ὅπου ἤθελες· ὅταν δὲ γηράσῃς, ἐκτενεῖς τὰς χεῖράς σου, καὶ ἄλλος σε ζώσει καὶ οἴσει ὅπου οὐ θέλεις. 18 ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, ὅτε ἦς νεώτερος ἐζώννυες σεαυτόν, καὶ περιεπάτεις ὅπου ἤθελες· ὅταν δὲ γηράσῃς, ἐκτενεῖς τὰς χεῖράς σου, καὶ ἄλλος σε ζώσει, καὶ οἴσει ὅπου οὐ θέλεις.

21:19 τοῦτο δὲ εἶπεν σημαίνων ποίῳ θανάτῳ δοξάσει τὸν θεόν.

21:20 Ἐπιστραφεὶς ὁ Πέτρος βλέπει τὸν μαθητὴν ὃν ἠγάπα ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἀκολουθοῦντα, ὃς καὶ ἀνέπεσεν ἐν τῷ δείπνῳ ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν, κύριε, τίς ἐστιν ὁ παραδιδούς σε; 20 Ἐπιστραφεὶς δὲ ὁ Πέτρος βλέπει τὸν μαθητήν, ὃν ἠγάπα ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ἀκολουθοῦντα, ὃς καὶ ἀνέπεσεν ἐν τῷ δείπνῳ ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπε, κύριε, τίς ἐστιν ὁ παραδιδούς σε;

Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? you follow me!” Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? you follow me!”
21:23 ἐξῆλθεν οὖν οὗτος ὁ λόγος εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὅτι ὁ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει· οὐκ εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι οὐκ ἀποθνῄσκει ἀλλ᾿, ἐὰν αὐτὸν θέλω μένειν ἕως ἔρχομαι [,τί πρὸς σέ]; 23 ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ὁ λόγος οὗτος εἰς τοὺς ἀδελφούς, ὅτι ὁ μαθητὴς ἐκεῖνος οὐκ ἀποθνήσκει· καὶ οὐκ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ὅτι οὐκ ἀποθνήσκει ἀλλ᾿, ἐὰν αὐτὸν θέλω μένειν ἕως ἔρχομαι, τί πρός σε;
Therefore this saying went out among the brothers that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus didn’t say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain until I come, [what is that to you]?” Therefore this saying went out among the brothers that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus didn’t say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”
21:24 Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ μαθητὴς ὁ μαρτυρῶν περὶ τούτων καὶ ὁ γράψας ταῦτα, καὶ οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἀληθὴς αὐτοῦ ἡ μαρτυρία ἐστίν. 24 Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ μαθητὴς ὁ μαρτυρῶν περὶ τούτων, καὶ γράψας ταῦτα· καὶ οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἀληθής ἐστιν ἡ μαρτυρία αὐτοῦ.

21:25 Ἔστιν δὲ καὶ ἄλλα πολλὰ ἃ ἐποίησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ἅτινα ἐὰν γράφηται καθ᾿ ἕν, οὐδ᾿ αὐτὸν οἶμαι τὸν κόσμον χωρῆσαι τὰ γραφόμενα βιβλία. 25 ἔστι δὲ καὶ ἄλλα πολλὰ ὅσα ἐποίησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς, ἅτινα ἐὰν γράφηται καθ᾿ ἕν, οὐδὲ αὐτὸν οἶμαι τὸν κόσμον χωρῆσαι τὰ γραφόμενα βιβλία.
ἀμήν.
