Jacōb’s Deception
1 And it happened, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he couldn’t see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said to him, “My son.” And he said to him, “Behold, here am I.”

2 And he said, “Look! I have grown old, and don’t know the day of my death. | 2 And he said, “Look! I have grown old, and don’t know the day of my death. |
3 Now therefore take, please, your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field, and get me some venison.
3 Now then take your weapons, both the quiver and the bow, and go into the plain, and hunt game for me, | 3 Now then take your weapons, both the quiver and the bow, and go into the plain, and hunt game for me, |
4 And make me savoury food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless you before I die.”
