Genesis

1 And when Rachel saw that she gave birth to Jacōb no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said to Jacōb, “Give me children, or else I die.”

1 ἰδοῦσα δὲ Ῥαχὴλ ὅτι οὐ τέτοκεν τῷ Ἰακώβ, καὶ ἐζήλωσεν Ῥαχὴλ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῆς καὶ εἶπεν τῷ Ἰακώβ, δός μοι τέκνα· εἰ δὲ μή, τελευτήσω ἐγώ.	1 ἰδοῦσα δὲ Ῥαχὴλ ὅτι οὐ τέτοκε τῷ Ἰακώβ, καὶ ἐζήλωσε Ῥαχὴλ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτῆς καὶ εἶπε τῷ Ἰακώβ· δός μοι τέκνα· εἰ δὲ μή, τελευτήσω ἐγώ.

9 When Leah saw that she had left carrying, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her to Jacōb to wife.

14 And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, “Give me, please, of your son’s mandrakes.”

15 And Leia said, “Is it not enough for you that you have taken my husband? You won’t take my son’s mandrakes, will you?” And Rhachēl said, “Not so: let him lie with you this night in exchange for your son’s mandrakes.”	15 And Leia said, “Is it not enough for you that you have taken my husband? 16 And Jacōb came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, “You must come in to me; for surely I have hired you with my son’s mandrakes.” And he lay with her that night.

18 And Leah said, “God has given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband”; and she called his name Issachar.

19 And Leah conceived again, and gave birth to Jacōb the sixth son.

20 And Leah said, “God has endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons”; and she called his name Zebulun.

21 And afterwards she gave birth to a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

22 And God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her, and opened her womb.

24 And she called his name Joseph; and said, “Yahweh shall add to me another son.”

25 And it happened, when Rachel had given birth to Jōsēph, that Jacōb said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own place, and to my country.
