1 And Moses called all Israēl, and said to them, “Hear, Oh Israēl, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, so that you may learn them, and keep them, and do them.

2 Yahweh our Elohim made a covenant with us in Horeb.

4 Yahweh talked with you face to face in the mountain out of the midst of the fire,

9 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them; for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

11 You shall not take the name of Yahweh your Elohim in vain; for Yahweh won’t hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

12 Keep the sabbath day to consecrate it, as Yahweh your Elohim has commanded you.

15 And remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yahweh your Elohim brought you out from there through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm; therefore Yahweh your Elohim commanded you to keep the sabbath day.

16 Honour your father and your mother, as Yahweh your Elohim has commanded you; so that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the land which Yahweh your Elohim gives you.

22 These words Yahweh spoke to all your assembly in the mountain out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice; and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them to me.

22 The Lord spoke these words to your whole gathering at the mountain, from the midst of the fire–darkness, gloom, storm, a loud voice– and he didn’t add more. 23 And it happened, when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain burned with fire,) that you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;

24 and you said, ‘Behold, Yahweh our Elohim has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire; we have seen this day that Elohim talks with man, and he lives.

24 καὶ ἐλέγετε ἰδοὺ ἔδειξεν ἡμῖν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ ἠκούσαμεν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός· ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ εἴδομεν ὅτι λαλήσει ὁ θεὸς πρὸς ἄνθρωπον, καὶ ζήσεται.	24 καὶ ἐλέγετε· ἰδοὺ ἔδειξεν ἡμῖν Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ ἠκούσαμεν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός· ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ εἴδομεν ὅτι λαλήσει ὁ Θεὸς πρὸς ἄνθρωπον, καὶ ζήσεται.
24 and you said, “Look, our Lord God has shown us his glory, and we have heard his voice from the midst of the fire. 25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of Yahweh our Elohim any more, then we shall die.

25 καὶ νῦν μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν, ὅτι ἐξαναλώσει ἡμᾶς τὸ πῦρ τὸ μέγα τοῦτο, ἐὰν προσθώμεθα ἡμεῖς ἀκοῦσαι τὴν φωνὴν κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἔτι, καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα.	25 καὶ νῦν μὴ ἀποθάνωμεν, ὅτι ἐξαναλώσει ἡμᾶς τὸ πῦρ τὸ μέγα τοῦτο, ἐὰν προσθώμεθα ἡμεῖς ἀκοῦσαι τὴν φωνὴν Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἔτι, καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα·
25 And now don’t let us die. Because this great fire will utterly destroy us; if we continue to hear the voice of our Lord God any longer, then we will die.	25 And now don’t let us die. 26 For who is there of all flesh, who has heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

28 And Yahweh heard the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and Yahweh said to me, ‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you; they have well said all that they have spoken.
