1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men.

2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the sons of Israēl, 250 princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown.

2 καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἔναντι Μωυσῆ, καὶ ἄνδρες τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι, ἀρχηγοὶ συναγωγῆς, σύγκλητοι βουλῆς καὶ ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί,	2 καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἔναντι Μωυσῆ, καὶ ἄνδρες τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι, ἀρχηγοὶ συναγωγῆς, σύγκλητοι βουλῆς καί ἄνδρες ὀνομαστοί,

3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, “You take too much on you, since all the congregation is holy, everyone of them, and Yahweh is among them; why then do you exalt yourselves above the congregation of Yahweh?”

3 συνέστησαν ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ εἶπαν Ἐχέτω ὑμῖν, ὅτι πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ πάντες ἅγιοι καὶ ἐν αὐτοῖς κύριος, καὶ διὰ τί κατανίστασθε ἐπὶ τὴν συναγωγὴν κυρίου;	3 συνέστησαν ἐπὶ Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν καὶ εἶπαν· ἐχέτω ὑμῖν, ὅτι πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ πάντες ἅγιοι, καὶ ἐν αὐτοῖς Κύριος, καὶ διατί κατανίστασθε ἐπὶ τὴν συναγωγὴν Κυρίου;
3 They rose up against Moses and Aarōn, and said, “Enough for you! Because all the congregation are set apart, and the Lord is among them. 5 And he spoke to Korah and to all his company, saying, “Even tomorrow Yahweh will show who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near to him; even him whom he has chosen will he cause to come near to him.

7 καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ πῦρ καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα ἔναντι κυρίου αὔριον, καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ, ὃν ἄν ἐκλέξηται κύριος, οὗτος ἅγιος· ἱκανούσθω ὑμῖν, υἱοὶ Λευί.	7 καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ πῦρ, καὶ ἐπίθετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα ἔναντι Κυρίου αὔριον· καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἀνήρ, ὃν ἐκλέλεκται Κύριος, οὗτος ἅγιος· ἱκανούσθω ὑμῖν υἱοὶ Λευί.

8 And Moses said to Korah, “Hear, please, you sons of Levi.

9 Does it seem but a small thing to you, that the Elohim of Israēl has separated you from the congregation of Israēl, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tent of Yahweh, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them?

9 μὴ μικρόν ἐστιν τοῦτο ὑμῖν ὅτι διέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ ὑμᾶς ἐκ συναγωγῆς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ προσηγάγετο ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν λειτουργεῖν τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου καὶ παρίστασθαι ἔναντι τῆς συναγωγῆς λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς;	9 μὴ μικρόν ἔστι τοῦτο ὑμῖν, ὅτι διέστειλεν ὁ Θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ ὑμᾶς ἐκ συναγωγῆς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ προσηγάγετο ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν λειτουργεῖν τὰς λειτουργίας τῆς σκηνῆς Κυρίου καὶ παρίστασθαι ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς;

11 For which cause both you and all your company are gathered together against Yahweh; and what is Aaron, that you murmur against him?”

12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; who said, “We won’t come up.

13 Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except you make yourself altogether a prince over us?

13 μὴ μικρὸν τοῦτο ὅτι ἀνήγαγες ἡμᾶς ἐκ γῆς ῥεούσης γάλα καὶ μέλι ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, ὅτι κατάρχεις ἡμῶν ἄρχων;	13 μὴ μικρὸν τοῦτο, ὅτι ἀνήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, ὅτι κατάρχεις ἡμῶν ἄρχων;

15 And Moses was very wroth, and said to Yahweh, “Don’t respect their offering; I haven’t taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.”

15 καὶ ἐβαρυθύμησεν Μωυσῆς σφόδρα καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς κύριον Μὴ προσχῇς εἰς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτῶν· οὐκ ἐπιθύμημα οὐδενὸς αὐτῶν εἴληφα οὐδὲ ἐκάκωσα οὐδένα αὐτῶν.	15 καὶ ἐβαρυθύμησε Μωυσῆς σφόδρα καὶ εἶπε πρὸς Κύριον· μὴ πρόσχῃς εἰς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτῶν· οὐκ ἐπιθύμημα οὐδενὸς αὐτῶν εἴληφα, οὐδὲ ἐκάκωσα οὐδένα αὐτῶν.

16 And Moses said to Korah, “Tomorrow, you and all your company be present before Yahweh; you and they, as well as Aaron.

17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring before Yahweh every man his censer, 250 censers; you also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.”

17 καὶ λάβετε ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιθήσετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα καὶ προσάξετε ἔναντι κυρίου ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ, πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσια πυρεῖα, καὶ σὺ καὶ Ἀαρὼν ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ.	17 καὶ λάβετε ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιθήσετε ἐπ’ αὐτὰ θυμίαμα καὶ προσάξετε ἔναντι Κυρίου ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ, πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσια πυρεῖα, καὶ σὺ καὶ Ἀαρὼν ἕκαστος τὸ πυρεῖον αὐτοῦ.

18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense on it, and stood at the door of the tent of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

18 And each one took his fire-pan, and they put fire on them, and applied incense on them. 19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them to the door of the tent of the congregation; and the glory of Yahweh appeared to all the congregation.

19 καὶ ἐπισυνέστησεν ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς Κορὲ τὴν πᾶσαν αὐτοῦ συναγωγὴν παρὰ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου. καὶ ὤφθη ἡ δόξα κυρίου πάσῃ τῇ συναγωγῇ.	19 καὶ ἐπισυνέστησεν ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς Κορὲ τὴν πᾶσαν αὐτοῦ συναγωγὴν παρὰ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου. καὶ ὤφθη ἡ δόξα Κυρίου πάσῃ τῇ συναγωγῇ.

20 And Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

21 “Separate yourselves from among this congregation, so that I may consume them in a moment.”

22 And they fell on their faces, and said, “Oh El, Elohim of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be wroth with all the congregation?”

22 καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπαν θεὸς θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκός, εἰ ἄνθρωπος εἷς ἥμαρτεν, ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν ὀργὴ κυρίου;	22 καὶ ἔπεσαν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπαν· Θεός, Θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκός, εἰ ἄνθρωπος εἷς ἥμαρτεν, ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν ὀργὴ Κυρίου;
22 And they fell on their face, and said, “Oh God, the God of spirits and of all flesh, if one man sinned, shall the Lord’s anger be on the whole congregation?”	22 And they fell on their face, and said, “Oh God, the God of spirits and of all flesh, if one man sinned, shall the Lord’s anger be on the whole congregation?”

23 And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

25 And Moses rose up and went to Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israēl followed him.

26 And he spoke to the congregation, saying, “Depart, please, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.”
