1 [LXX 21:1] And Ben-hadad the king of Syria gathered all his army together. and there were 32 kings with him, and horses, and chariots. and he went up and besieged Samaria, and warred against it.

6 [LXX 21:6] ὅτι ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον ἀποστελῶ τοὺς παῖδάς μου πρὸς σέ, καὶ ἐρευνήσουσιν τὸν οἶκόν σου καὶ τοὺς οἴκους τῶν παίδων σου καὶ ἔσται τὰ ἐπιθυμήματα ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν, ἐφ’ ἃ ἄν ἐπιβάλωσι τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν, καὶ λήμψονται.	6 [LXX 21:6] ὅτι ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον ἀποστελῶ τοὺς παῖδάς μου πρός σε, καὶ ἐρευνήσουσι τὸν οἶκόν σου καὶ τοὺς οἴκους τῶν παίδων σου καὶ ἔσται πάντα τὰ ἐπιθυμήματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν, ἐφ’ ἃ ἄν ἐπιβάλωσι τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν, καὶ λήψονται.

7 [LXX 21:7] Then the king of Israēl called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, please, and see how this man seeks mischief. for he sent to me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.

7 [LXX 21:7] And the king of Israēl called all the elders, and said, “Know certainly and see, that this man seeks malice; for he has sent to me concerning my wives, and concerning my sons, an concerning my daughters. 9 [LXX 21:9] Therefore he said to the messengers of Ben-hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that you sent for to your servant at the first I will do; but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.

11 [LXX 21:11] And the king of Israēl answered and said, Tell him, Don’t let him who girds on his harness boast himself as he who puts it off.

12 [LXX 21:12] And it happened, when Ben-hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said to his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.

12 [LXX 21:12] And it happened when he answered this word, he and all the kings with him were drinking in tents. 13 [LXX 21:13] And, behold, there came a prophet to Ahab king of Israēl, saying, Thus says Yahweh, Have you seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it in to your hand this day; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

15 [LXX 21:15] Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were 232. and after them he numbered all the people, even all the sons of Israēl, being 7000.

15 [LXX 21:15] καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Ἀχαὰβ τὰ παιδάρια τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν χωρῶν, καὶ ἐγένοντο διακόσιοι καὶ τριάκοντα· καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐπεσκέψατο τὸν λαόν, πᾶν υἱὸν δυνάμεως, ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδας.	15 [LXX 21:15] καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Ἀχαὰβ τὰ παιδάρια τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν χωρῶν, καὶ ἐγένοντο διακόσια τριάκοντα· καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐπεσκέψατο τὸν λαόν, πάντα υἱὸν δυνάμεως, ἑπτὰ χιλιάδας.

16 [LXX 21:16] And they went out at noon. But Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the 32 kings who helped him.

16 [LXX 21:16] καὶ ἐξῆλθεν μεσημβρίας· καὶ υἱὸς Ἀδὲρ πίνων μεθύων ἐν Σοκχώθ, αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς, τριάκοντα καὶ δύο βασιλεῖς συμβοηθοὶ μετ’ αὐτοῦ.	16 [LXX 21:16] καὶ ἐξῆλθε μεσημβρίας· καὶ υἱὸς Ἄδερ πίνων μεθύων ἐν Σοκχὼθ αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς, τριάκοντα καὶ δύο βασιλεῖς συμβοηθοὶ μετ’ αὐτοῦ.

17 [LXX 21:17] καὶ ἐξῆλθον παιδάρια ἀρχόντων τῶν χωρῶν ἐν πρώτοις. καὶ ἀποστέλλουσιν καὶ ἀπαγγέλλουσιν τῷ βασιλεῖ Συρίας λέγοντες ἄνδρες ἐξεληλύθασιν ἐκ Σαμαρείας.	17 [LXX 21:17] καὶ ἐξῆλθον ἄρχοντες παιδάρια τῶν χωρῶν ἐν πρώτοις. καὶ ἀποστέλλουσι καὶ ἀπαγγέλλουσι τῷ βασιλεῖ Συρίας λέγοντες· ἄνδρες ἐξεληλύθασιν ἐκ Σαμαρείας.

20 [LXX 21:20] And they killed everyone his man; and the Syrians fled; and Israēl pursued them. and Ben-hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with the horsemen.

20 [LXX 21:20] ἐπάταξεν ἕκαστος τὸν παρ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐδευτέρωσεν ἕκαστος τὸν παρ’ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔφυγεν Συρία, καὶ κατεδίωξεν αὐτοὺς Ἰσραήλ· καὶ σῴζεται υἱὸς Ἀδὲρ βασιλεὺς Συρίας ἐφ’ ἵππου ἱππέως.	20 [LXX 21:20] ἐπάταξεν ἕκαστος τὸν παρ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐδευτέρωσεν ἕκαστος τὸν παρ’ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔφυγε Συρία, καὶ κατεδίωξεν αὐτοὺς Ἰσραήλ· καὶ σῴζεται υἱὸς Ἄδερ βασιλεὺς Συρίας ἐφ’ ἵππου ἱππέως.
