Parable of the Ten Pounds
(Matt 25:14-30)

19:22 λέγει αὐτῷ, ἐκ τοῦ στόματός σου κρινῶ σε, πονηρὲ δοῦλε.
ᾔδεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπος αὐστηρός εἰμι, αἴρων οὐκ ἔθηκα καὶ θερίζων οὐκ ἔσπειρα;
22 λέγει δὲ αὐτῷ, ἐκ τοῦ στόματός σου κρινῶ σε, πονηρὲ δοῦλε.
ᾔδεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπος αὐστηρός εἰμι, αἴρων οὐκ ἔθηκα, καὶ θερίζων οὐκ ἔσπειρα·
He said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked slave. Did you know that I am an exacting man, taking up what I didn’t lay down and reaping what I didn’t sow? 19:23 καὶ διὰ τί οὐκ ἔδωκάς μου τὸ ἀργύριον ἐπὶ τράπεζαν;
κἀγὼ ἐλθὼν σὺν τόκῳ ἄν αὐτὸ ἔπραξα.
23 καὶ διατί οὐκ ἔδωκας τὸ ἀργύριόν μου ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν, καὶ ἐγὼ ἐλθὼν σὺν τόκῳ ἄν ἔπραξα αὐτό;

19:24 καὶ τοῖς παρεστῶσιν εἶπεν, ἄρατε ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ τὴν μνᾶν καὶ δότε τῷ τὰς δέκα μνᾶς ἔχοντι 24 καὶ τοῖς παρεστῶσιν εἶπεν, ἄρατε ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ τὴν μνᾶν, καὶ δότε τῷ τὰς δέκα μνᾶς ἔχοντι.

19:26 λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι παντὶ τῷ ἔχοντι δοθήσεται, ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ μὴ ἔχοντος καὶ ἔχει ἀρθήσεται. 26 λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν, ὅτι παντὶ τῷ ἔχοντι δοθήσεται· ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ μὴ ἔχοντος, καὶ ἔχει ἀρθήσεται ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ.

Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem

19:37 ἐγγίζοντος δὲ αὐτοῦ ἤδη πρὸς τῇ καταβάσει τοῦ ὄρους τῶν ἐλαιῶν ἤρξαντο ἅπαν τὸ πλῆθος τῶν μαθητῶν χαίροντες αἰνεῖν τὸν θεὸν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ περὶ πασῶν ὧν εἶδον δυνάμεων, 37 ἐγγίζοντος δὲ αὐτοῦ ἤδη πρὸς τῇ καταβάσει τοῦ ὄρους τῶν ἐλαιῶν, ἤρξαντο ἅπαν τὸ πλῆθος τῶν μαθητῶν χαίροντες αἰνεῖν τὸν θεὸν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ περὶ πασῶν ὧν εἶδον δυνάμεων,

19:40 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν, λέγω ὑμῖν, ἐὰν οὗτοι σιωπήσουσιν, οἱ λίθοι κράξουσιν. 40 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅτε, ἐὰν οὗτοι σιωπήσωσιν, οἱ λίθοι κεκράξονται.

19:43 ὅτι ἥξουσιν ἡμέραι ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ ἐχθροί σου χάρακά σοι καὶ περικυκλώσουσίν σε καὶ συνέξουσίν σε πάντοθεν, 43 ὅτι ἥξουσιν ἡμέραι ἐπὶ σέ, καὶ περιβαλοῦσιν οἱ ἐχθροί σου χάρακά σοι, καὶ περικυκλώσουσί σε, καὶ συνέξουσί σε πάντοθεν,

19:44 καὶ ἐδαφιοῦσίν σε καὶ τὰ τέκνα σου ἐν σοὶ, καὶ οὐκ ἀφήσουσιν λίθον ἐπὶ λίθον ἐν σοὶ, ἀνθ᾿ ὧν οὐκ ἔγνως τὸν καιρὸν τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς σου. 44 καὶ ἐδαφιοῦσί σε καὶ τὰ τέκνα σου ἐν σοὶ, καὶ οὐκ ἀφήσουσιν ἐν σοί λίθον ἐπὶ λίθῳ· ἀνθ᾿ ὧν οὐκ ἔγνως τὸν καιρὸν τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς σου.

Cleansing of the Temple
(Matt 21:12-17; Mark 11:15-19; Jōhn 2:13-22)

19:45 καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας 45 καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ἱερόν, ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ἀγοράζοντας,
And after entering the temple, he began to throw out those who were selling, And after entering the temple, he began to throw out those who were selling in it and buying,
19:46 λέγων αὐτοῖς, γέγραπται, καὶ ἔσται οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς, ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐτὸν ἐποιήσατε σπήλαιον λῃστῶν. 46 λέγων αὐτοῖς, γέγραπται, οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς ἐστίν· ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐτὸν ἐποιήσατε σπήλαιον λῃστῶν.
saying to them, “It is written, ‘And my house shall be a house of prayer,’[2] but you have made it a robbers’ den.” saying to them, “It is written, ‘And my house shall be a house of prayer,’[2] but you have made it a robbers’ den.”
19:47 καὶ ἦν διδάσκων τὸ καθ᾿ ἡμέραν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ.
οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς ἐζήτουν αὐτὸν ἀπολέσαι καὶ οἱ πρῶτοι τοῦ λαοῦ,
47 καὶ ἦν διδάσκων τὸ καθ᾿ ἡμέραν ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ· οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς ἐζήτουν αὐτὸν ἀπολέσαι, καὶ οἱ πρῶτοι τοῦ λαοῦ·

19:48 καὶ οὐχ εὕρισκον τὸ τί ποιήσωσιν, λαὸς γὰρ ἅπας ἐξεκρέματο αὐτοῦ ἀκούων. 48 καὶ οὐχ εὕρισκον τὸ τί ποιήσωσιν, λαὸς γὰρ ἅπας ἐξεκρέματο αὐτοῦ ἀκούων.
and they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging on to what was heard. and they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging on to what was heard.
