And a centurion’s slave, who was highly respected by him, was sick and about to die. | And a centurion’s slave, who was highly respected by him, was sick and about to die. |
After hearing about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to him asking him that after coming he might heal his slave. | After hearing about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to him asking him that after coming he might heal his slave. |
And after arriving to Jesus, they earnestly begged him, saying, “He is worthy for granting this to him; | And after arriving to Jesus, they earnestly begged him, saying, “He is worthy for granting this to him; |

Now Jesus began going with them; and when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, don’t bother, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof; | Now Jesus began going with them; and when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, don’t bother, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof; |
for this reason I didn’t even consider myself worthy to come to you, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. | for this reason I didn’t even consider myself worthy to come to you, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. |
For I also am a man appointed under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” | For I also am a man appointed under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” |

Now as he approached the gate of the city, and right away a dead person was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a crowd of those from the city was with her. | Now as he approached the gate of the city, and right away a dead person was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a crowd of those from the city was with her. |

Fear took them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!” | Fear took them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!” |

And in response to them, he said, “After going, report to Jōhn what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor receive the gospel. | And in response to them, Jesus said, “After going, report to Jōhn what you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor receive the gospel. |
