Genesis

1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age; and Yahweh had blessed Abraham in all things.

2 And Abraham said to his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, “Put, please, your hand under my thigh.

5 And the servant said to him, “Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land: must I needs bring your son again to the land from where you came?”

5 And the servant said to him, “Perhaps the woman is not willing to go with me, back to this land. 6 And Abraham said to him, “Beware you that you don’t bring my son to that place again.

10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand; and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

12 And he said, “Oh Yahweh Elohim of my master Abraham, please, send me good speed this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.

13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water.

15 And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her camper on her shoulder.

17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, “Let me, please, drink a little water of your camper.”

21 And the man wondering at her held his peace, to know whether Yahweh had made his journey prosperous or not.

22 And it happened, as the camels had finished drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

22 ἐγένετο δὲ ἡνίκα ἐπαύσαντο πᾶσαι αἱ κάμηλοι πίνουσαι, ἔλαβεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐνώτια χρυσᾶ ἀνὰ δραχμὴν ὁλκῆς καὶ δύο ψέλια ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς, δέκα χρυσῶν ὁλκὴ αὐτῶν.	22 ἐγένετο δέ, ἡνίκα ἐπαύσαντο πᾶσαι αἱ κάμηλοι πίνουσαι, ἔλαβεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐνώτια χρυσᾶ ἀνὰ δραχμὴν ὁλκῆς καὶ δύο ψέλλια ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς, δέκα χρυσῶν ὁλκὴ αὐτῶν.

43 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐφέστηκα ἐπὶ τῆς πηγῆς τοῦ ὕδατος, καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες τῶν ἀνθρώπων τῆς πόλεως ἐξελεύσονται ὑδρεύσασθαι ὕδωρ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ παρθένος, ᾗ ἄν ἐγὼ εἴπω, πότισόν με μικρὸν ὕδωρ ἐκ τῆς ὑδρίας σου,	43 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐφέστηκα ἐπὶ τῆς πηγῆς τοῦ ὕδατος, καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες τῶν ἀνθρώπων τῆς πόλεως ἐκπορεύονται ἀντλῆσαι ὕδωρ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ παρθένος, ᾗ ἄν ἐγὼ εἴπω, πότισόν με ἐκ τῆς ὑδρίας σου μικρὸν ὕδωρ,
