I Kings

1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israēl, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the sons of Israēl, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the city of David, which is Zion.

אָז יַקְהֵל שְׁלֹמֹה אֶת ־ זִקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת ־ כָּל ־ רָאשֵׁי הַמַּטֹּות נְשִׂיאֵי הָאָבֹות לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל ־ הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה יְרוּשָׁלִָם לְהַעֲלֹות אֶת ־ אֲרֹון בְּרִית ־ יְהוָה מֵעִיר דָּוִד הִיא צִיֹּון׃

1 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ συντελέσαι Σαλωμὼν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον ἑαυτοῦ μετὰ εἴκοσι ἔτη, τότε ἐξεκκλησίασεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμὼν πάντας τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους Ἰσραὴλ ἐν Σιὼν τοῦ ἀνενεγκεῖν τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου ἐκ πόλεως Δαυὶδ αὕτη ἐστὶν Σιὼν	1 Καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς συνετέλεσε Σαλωμὼν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον Κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ μετὰ εἴκοσιν ἔτη, τότε ἐξεκκλησιάσθη ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμὼν πάντας τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους Ἰσραὴλ ἐν Σιὼν τοῦ ἀνενεγκεῖν τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης Κυρίου ἐκ πόλεως Δαυὶδ (αὕτη ἐστὶ Σιὼν)

2 And all the men of Israēl assembled themselves to king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

וַיִּקָּהֲלוּ אֶל ־ הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה כָּל ־ אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּיֶרַח הָאֵתָנִים בֶּחָג הוּא הַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי׃

3 And all the elders of Israēl came, and the priests took up the ark.

וַיַּעֲלוּ אֶת ־ אֲרֹון יְהוָה וְאֶת ־ אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְאֶת ־ כָּל ־ כְּלֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר בָּאֹהֶל וַיַּעֲלוּ אֹתָם הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם׃

4 καὶ τὸ σκήνωμα τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια τὰ ἐν τῷ σκηνώματι τοῦ μαρτυρίου,	4 καὶ τὸ σκήνωμα τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια τὰ ἐν τῷ σκηνώματι τοῦ μαρτυρίου,

5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israēl, who were assembled to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that couldn’t be told nor numbered for multitude.

וְהַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה וְכָל ־ עֲדַת יִשְׂרָאֵל הַנֹּועָדִים עָלָיו אִתֹּו לִפְנֵי הָאָרֹון מְזַבְּחִים צֹאן וּבָקָר אֲשֶׁר לֹא ־ יִסָּפְרוּ וְלֹא יִמָּנוּ מֵרֹב׃

5 καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ ἔμπροσθεν τῆς κιβωτοῦ θύοντες πρόβατα καὶ βόας ἀναρίθμητα.	5 καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ ἔμπροσθεν τῆς κιβωτοῦ θύοντες πρόβατα καὶ βόας ἀναρίθμητα.

6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubs.

6 καὶ εἰσφέρουσιν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς εἰς τὸ δαβὶρ τοῦ οἴκου εἰς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας τῶν Χερουβίν·	6 καὶ εἰσφέρουσιν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς εἰς τὸ δαβὶρ τοῦ οἴκου, εἰς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας τῶν Χερουβίμ·

כִּי הַכְּרוּבִים פֹּרְשִׂים כְּנָפַיִם אֶל ־ מְקֹום הָאָרֹון וַיָּסֹכּוּ הַכְּרֻבִים עַל ־ הָאָרֹון וְעַל ־ בַּדָּיו מִלְמָעְלָה׃

7 ὅτι τὰ Χερουβὶν διαπεπετασμένα ταῖς πτέρυξιν ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον τῆς κιβωτοῦ, καὶ περιεκάλυπτον τὰ Χερουβὶν ἐπὶ τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἅγια αὐτῆς ἐπάνωθεν,	7 ὅτι τὰ Χερουβὶμ διαπεπετασμένα ταῖς πτέρυξιν ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον τῆς κιβωτοῦ, καὶ περιεκάλυπτον τὰ Χερουβὶμ ἐπὶ τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἅγια αὐτῆς ἐπάνωθεν,

8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen outside; and there they are to this day.

8 καὶ ὑπερεῖχον τὰ ἡγιασμένα, καὶ ἐνεβλέποντο αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ἡγιασμένων ἐκ τῶν ἁγίων εἰς πρόσωπον τοῦ δαβὶρ καὶ οὐκ ὠπτάνοντο ἔξω.	8 καὶ ὑπερεῖχον τὰ ἡγιασμένα, καὶ ἐνεβλέποντο αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ἡγιασμένων ἐκ τῶν ἁγίων εἰς πρόσωπον τοῦ δαβὶρ καὶ οὐκ ὠπτάνοντο ἔξω.

9 There was nothing in the ark except the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the sons of Israēl, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

אֵין בָּאָרֹון רַק שְׁנֵי לֻחֹות הָאֲבָנִים אֲשֶׁר הִנִּחַ שָׁם מֹשֶׁה בְּחֹרֵב אֲשֶׁר כָּרַת יְהוָה עִם ־ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּצֵאתָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם׃

9 οὐκ ἦν ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ πλὴν δύο πλάκες λίθιναι, πλάκες τῆς διαθήκης, ἃς ἔθηκεν ἐκεῖ Μωυσῆς ἐν Χωρήβ, ἃ διέθετο κύριος μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.	9 οὐκ ἦν ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ πλὴν δύο πλάκες λίθιναι, πλάκες τῆς διαθήκης, ἃς ἔθηκεν ἐκεῖ Μωυσῆς ἐν Χωρήβ, ἃς διέθετο Κύριος μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.

10 And it happened, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of Yahweh,

וַיְהִי בְּצֵאת הַכֹּהֲנִים מִן ־ הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְהֶעָנָן מָלֵא אֶת ־ בֵּית יְהוָה׃

10 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐξῆλθον οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐκ τοῦ ἁγίου, καὶ ἡ νεφέλη ἔπλησεν τὸν οἶκον·	10 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐξῆλθον οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐκ τοῦ ἁγίου, καὶ ἡ νεφέλη ἔπλησε τὸν οἶκον·

11 So that the priests couldn’t stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of Yahweh had filled the house of Yahweh.

וְלֹא ־ יָכְלוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים לַעֲמֹד לְשָׁרֵת מִפְּנֵי הֶעָנָן כִּי ־ מָלֵא כְבֹוד ־ יְהוָה אֶת ־ בֵּית יְהוָה׃ פ

11 καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο οἱ ἱερεῖς στῆναι λειτουργεῖν ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς νεφέλης, ὅτι ἔπλησεν δόξα κυρίου τὸν οἶκον.	11 καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο οἱ ἱερεῖς στήκειν λειτουργεῖν ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς νεφέλης, ὅτι ἔπλησε δόξα Κυρίου τὸν οἶκον.

12 Then Solomon spoke, Yahweh said that he would dwell in thick darkness.

אָז אָמַר שְׁלֹמֹה יְהוָה אָמַר לִשְׁכֹּן בָּעֲרָפֶל׃

12 τότε ἐλάλησεν Σαλωμὼν ὑπὲρ τοῦ οἴκου, ὡς συνετέλεσεν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτόν ἥλιον ἐγνώρισεν ἐν οὐρανῷ κύριος, εἶπεν τοῦ κατοικεῖν ἐν γνόφῳ	12 Τότε ἐλάλησε Σαλωμὼν ὑπὲρ τοῦ οἴκου, ὡς συνετέλεσε τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτόν, Ἥλιον ἐγνώρισεν ἐν οὐρανῷ Κύριος, εἶπε τοῦ κατοικεῖν ἐν γνόφῳ·

13 I have surely built you a house to dwell in, a settled place for you to abide in forever.

בָּנֹה בָנִיתִי בֵּית זְבֻל לָךְ מָכֹון לְשִׁבְתְּךָ עֹולָמִים׃

13 οἰκοδόμησον οἶκόν μου, οἶκον ἐκπρεπῆ σαυτῷ, τοῦ κατοικεῖν. ἐπὶ καινότητος οὐκ ἰδοὺ αὕτη γέγραπται ἐν βιβλίῳ τῆς ᾠδῆς;	13 οἰκοδόμησον οἶκόν μου, οἶκον εὐπρεπῆ σεαυτῷ, τοῦ κατοικεῖν ἐπὶ καινότητος. οὐκ ἰδοὺ αὕτη γέγραπται ἐν βιβλίῳ τῆς ᾠδῆς;

14 And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israēl: (and all the congregation of Israēl stood;)

וַיַּסֵּב הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת ־ פָּנָיו וַיְבָרֶךְ אֵת כָּל ־ קְהַל יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכָל ־ קְהַל יִשְׂרָאֵל עֹמֵד׃

14 καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ, καὶ εὐλόγησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πάντα Ἰσραήλ, καὶ πᾶσα ἐκκλησία Ἰσραὴλ εἱστήκει.	14 Καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ, καὶ εὐλόγησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πάντα Ἰσραήλ, καὶ πᾶσα ἐκκλησία Ἰσραὴλ εἱστήκει·

15 And he said, Blessed be Yahweh Elohim of Israēl, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

וַיֹּאמֶר בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר בְּפִיו אֵת דָּוִד אָבִי וּבְיָדֹו מִלֵּא לֵאמֹר׃

15 καὶ εἶπεν εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ σήμερον, ὃς ἐλάλησεν ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ περὶ Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ ἐπλήρωσεν λέγων	15 καὶ εἶπε· εὐλογητὸς Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ σήμερον, ὃς ἐλάλησεν ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ περὶ Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ ἐπλήρωσε λέγων·

16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Israēl out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israēl to build a house, that my name might be in it; but I chose David to be over my people Israēl.

מִן ־ הַיֹּום אֲשֶׁר הֹוצֵאתִי אֶת ־ עַמִּי אֶת ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרַיִם לֹא ־ בָחַרְתִּי בְעִיר מִכֹּל שִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לִבְנֹות בַּיִת לִהְיֹות שְׁמִי שָׁם וָאֶבְחַר בְּדָוִד לִהְיֹות עַל ־ עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

16 ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἐξήγαγον τὸν λαόν μου τὸν Ἰσραὴλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου, οὐκ ἐξελεξάμην ἐν πόλει ἐν ἑνὶ σκήπτρῳ Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τοῦ εἶναι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ· καὶ ἐξελεξάμην ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ εἶναι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐξελεξάμην τὸν Δαυὶδ τοῦ εἶναι ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου τὸν Ἰσραήλ.	16 ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἐξήγαγον τὸν λαόν μου τὸν Ἰσραὴλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου, οὐκ ἐξελεξάμην ἐν πόλει ἐν ἑνὶ σκήπτρῳ Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τοῦ εἶναι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ. καὶ ἐξελεξάμην ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ εἶναι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ· καὶ ἐξελεξάμην τὸν Δαυὶδ τοῦ εἶναι ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου τὸν Ἰσραήλ.

17 And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh Elohim of Israēl.

וַיְהִי עִם ־ לְבַב דָּוִד אָבִי לִבְנֹות בַּיִת לְשֵׁם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

17 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ τῆς καρδίας Δαυὶδ τοῦ πατρός μου οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ Ἰσραήλ.	17 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ τῆς καρδίας τοῦ πατρός μου οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι Κυρίου Θεοῦ Ἰσραήλ.

18 And Yahweh said to David my father, Whereas it was in your heart to build a house to my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל ־ דָּוִד אָבִי יַעַן אֲשֶׁר הָיָה עִם ־ לְבָבְךָ לִבְנֹות בַּיִת לִשְׁמִי הֱטִיבֹתָ כִּי הָיָה עִם ־ לְבָבֶךָ׃

18 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Δαυὶδ τὸν πατέρα μου ἀνθ’ ὧν ἦλθεν ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν σου τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου, καλῶς ἐποίησας ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν σου·	18 καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Δαυὶδ τὸν πατέρα μου· ἀνθ’ ὧν ἦλθεν ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν σου τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου, καλῶς ἐποίησας ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν σου·

19 Nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son who shall come forth out of your loins, he shall build the house to my name.

רַק אַתָּה לֹא תִבְנֶה הַבָּיִת כִּי אִם ־ בִּנְךָ הַיֹּצֵא מֵחֲלָצֶיךָ הוּא ־ יִבְנֶה הַבַּיִת לִשְׁמִי׃

19 πλὴν σὺ οὐκ οἰκοδομήσεις τὸν οἶκον, ἀλλ’ ἣ ὁ υἱός σου ὁ ἐξελθὼν ἐκ τῶν πλευρῶν σου, οὗτος οἰκοδομήσει τὸν οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου.	19 πλὴν σὺ οὐκ οἰκοδομήσεις τὸν οἶκον, ἀλλ’ ἢ ὁ υἱός σου ὁ ἐξελθὼν ἐκ τῶν πλευρῶν σου, οὗτος οἰκοδομήσει τὸν οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου.

20 And Yahweh has performed his word that he spoke, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israēl, as Yahweh promised, and have built a house for the name of Yahweh Elohim of Israēl.

וַיָּקֶם יְהוָה אֶת ־ דְּבָרֹו אֲשֶׁר דִּבֵּר וָאָקֻם תַּחַת דָּוִד אָבִי וָאֵשֵׁב עַל ־ כִּסֵּא יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה וָאֶבְנֶה הַבַּיִת לְשֵׁם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

וַיַּעֲמֹד שְׁלֹמֹה לִפְנֵי מִזְבַּח יְהוָה נֶגֶד כָּל ־ קְהַל יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּפְרֹשׂ כַּפָּיו הַשָּׁמָיִם׃

אֲשֶׁר שָׁמַרְתָּ לְעַבְדְּךָ דָּוִד אָבִי אֵת אֲשֶׁר ־ דִּבַּרְתָּ לֹו וַתְּדַבֵּר בְּפִיךָ וּבְיָדְךָ מִלֵּאתָ כַּיֹּום הַזֶּה׃

25 Therefore now, Yahweh Elohim of Israēl, keep with your servant David my father that you promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israēl; so that your children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as you have walked before me.

27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built?

כִּי הַאֻמְנָם יֵשֵׁב אֱלֹהִים עַל ־ הָאָרֶץ הִנֵּה הַשָּׁמַיִם וּשְׁמֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם לֹא יְכַלְכְּלוּךָ אַף כִּי ־ הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר בָּנִיתִי׃

27 ὅτι εἰ ἀληθῶς κατοικήσει ὁ θεὸς μετὰ ἀνθρώπων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς; εἰ ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ οὐκ ἀρκέσουσίν σοι, πλὴν καὶ ὁ οἶκος οὗτος, ὃν ᾠκοδόμησα τῷ ὀνόματί σου;	27 ὅτι εἰ ἀληθῶς κατοικήσει ὁ Θεὸς μετὰ ἀνθρώπων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς; εἰ ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ οὐκ ἀρκέσουσί σοι, πλὴν καὶ ὁ οἶκος οὗτος, ὃν ᾠκοδόμησα τῷ ὀνόματί σου;
27 But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? 28 Yet have you respect to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, Oh Yahweh my Elohim, to listen to the cry and to the prayer, which your servant prays before you today.

וּפָנִיתָ אֶל ־ תְּפִלַּת עַבְדְּךָ וְאֶל ־ תְּחִנָּתֹו יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶל ־ הָרִנָּה וְאֶל ־ הַתְּפִלָּה אֲשֶׁר עַבְדְּךָ מִתְפַּלֵּל לְפָנֶיךָ הַיֹּום׃

28 καὶ ἐπιβλέψῃ ἐπὶ τὴν δέησίν μου, κύριε ὁ θεὸς Ἰσραήλ, ἀκούειν τῆς τέρψεως, ἧς ὁ δοῦλός σου προσεύχεται ἐνώπιόν σου πρὸς σὲ σήμερον,	28 καὶ ἐπιβλέψῃ ἐπὶ τὴν δέησίν μου, Κύριε ὁ Θεὸς Ἰσραήλ, ἀκούειν τῆς προσευχῆς, ἧς ὁ δοῦλός σου προσεύχεται ἐνώπιόν σου πρός σε σήμερον,

לִהְיֹות עֵינֶךָ פְתֻחֹות אֶל ־ הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה לַיְלָה וָיֹום אֶל ־ הַמָּקֹום אֲשֶׁר אָמַרְתָּ יִהְיֶה שְׁמִי שָׁם לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶל ־ הַתְּפִלָּה אֲשֶׁר יִתְפַּלֵּל עַבְדְּךָ אֶל ־ הַמָּקֹום הַזֶּה׃

אֵת אֲשֶׁר יֶחֱטָא אִישׁ לְרֵעֵהוּ וְנָשָׁא ־ בֹו אָלָה לְהַאֲלֹתֹו וּבָא אָלָה לִפְנֵי מִזְבַּחֲךָ בַּבַּיִת הַזֶּה׃

31 ὅσα ἄν ἁμάρτῃ ἕκαστος τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐὰν λάβῃ ἐπ’ αὐτὸν ἀρὰν τοῦ ἀρᾶσθαι αὐτόν, καὶ ἔλθῃ καὶ ἐξαγορεύσῃ κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου σου ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ,	31 ὅσα ἄν ἁμάρτῃ ἕκαστος τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐὰν λάβῃ ἐπ’ αὐτὸν ἀρὰν τοῦ ἀράσασθαι αὐτόν, καὶ ἔλθῃ καὶ ἐξαγορεύσῃ κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου σου ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ,

32 καὶ σὺ εἰσακούσει ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ποιήσεις καὶ κρινεῖς τὸν λαόν σου Ἰσραὴλ ἀνομηθῆναι ἄνομον δοῦναι τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ δικαιῶσαι δίκαιον δοῦναι αὐτῷ κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ.	32 καὶ σὺ εἰσακούσῃ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ποιήσεις καὶ κρινεῖς τὸν λαόν σου Ἰσραὴλ ἀνομηθῆναι ἄνομον, δοῦναι τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ εἰς κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ δικαιῶσαι δίκαιον, δοῦναι αὐτῷ κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ.

33 When your people Israēl be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against you, and shall turn again to you, and confess your name, and pray, and make supplication to you in this house.

33 ἐν τῷ πταῖσαι τὸν λαόν σου Ἰσραὴλ ἐνώπιον ἐχθρῶν, ὅτι ἁμαρτήσονταί σοι, καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσιν καὶ ἐξομολογήσονται τῷ ὀνόματί σου καὶ προσεύξονται καὶ δεηθήσονται ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ,	33 ἐν τῷ πταῖσαι τὸν λαόν σου Ἰσραὴλ ἐνώπιον ἐχθρῶν, ὅτι ἁμαρτήσονταί σοι, καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσι καὶ ἐξομολογήσονται τῷ ὀνόματί σου καὶ προσεύξονται καὶ δεηθήσονται ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ,

41 Moreover concerning a stranger, who is not of your people Israēl, but comes out of a far country for your name’s sake;

46 ὅτι ἁμαρτήσονταί σοί ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἄνθρωπος, ὃς οὐχ ἁμαρτήσεται καὶ ἐπάξεις ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς καὶ παραδώσεις αὐτοὺς ἐνώπιον ἐχθρῶν καὶ αἰχμαλωτιοῦσιν αὐτοὺς οἱ αἰχμαλωτίζοντες εἰς γῆν μακρὰν καὶ ἐγγύς,	46 ὅτι ἁμαρτήσονταί σοι ὅτι οὐκ ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος, ὃς οὐχ ἁμαρτήσεται καὶ ἐπάξεις αὐτοὺς καὶ παραδώσεις αὐτοὺς ἐνώπιον ἐχθρῶν καὶ αἰχμαλωτιοῦσιν οἱ αἰχμαλωτίζοντες εἰς γῆν μακρὰν καὶ ἐγγύς,

47 καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσιν καρδίας αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ γῇ, οὗ μετήχθησαν ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἐπιστρέψωσιν καὶ δεηθῶσίν σου ἐν γῇ μετοικίας αὐτῶν λέγοντες ἡμάρτομεν ἠνομήσαμεν ἠδικήσαμεν,	47 καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσι καρδίας αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ γῇ, οὗ μετήχθησαν ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσιν ἐν γῇ μετοικίας αὐτῶν καὶ δεηθῶσί σου λέγοντες· ἡμάρτομεν, ἠδικήσαμεν, ἠνομήσαμεν,

וְשָׁמַעְתָּ הַשָּׁמַיִם מְכֹון שִׁבְתְּךָ אֶת ־ תְּפִלָּתָם וְאֶת ־ תְּחִנָּתָם וְעָשִׂיתָ מִשְׁפָּטָם׃

54 And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication to Yahweh, he arose from before the altar of Yahweh, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

62 And the king, and all Israēl with him, offered sacrifice before Yahweh.

וְהַמֶּלֶךְ וְכָל ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל עִמֹּו זֹבְחִים זֶבַח לִפְנֵי יְהוָה׃

63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to Yahweh: 22,000 oxen, and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israēl dedicated the house of Yahweh.

64 The same day did the king dedicated the middle of the court that was before the house of Yahweh; for there he offered burnt offerings, and food offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the bronze altar that was before Yahweh was too small to receive the burnt offerings, and food offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

65 And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israēl with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath to the river of Egypt, before Yahweh our Elohim, seven days plus seven days, even 14 days.

וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁלֹמֹה בָעֵת ־ הַהִיא אֶת ־ הֶחָג וְכָל ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל עִמֹּו קָהָל גָּדֹול מִלְּבֹוא חֲמָת עַד ־ נַחַל מִצְרַיִם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים וְשִׁבְעַת יָמִים אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר יֹום׃

66 On the eighth day he sent the people away; and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that Yahweh had done for David his servant, and for Israēl his people.
