Greatest Gift: Love

If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become a loud brass bell or a clanging cymbal. If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become a loud brass bell or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but I don’t have love, I am nothing. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but I don’t have love, I am nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body in order to speak loudly, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body in order to speak loudly, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love doesn’t brag and is not arrogant, Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love doesn’t brag and is not arrogant,
It doesn’t act disgracefully; it doesn’t seek its own, is not provoked, doesn’t add up each wrong, It doesn’t act disgracefully; it doesn’t seek its own, is not provoked, doesn’t add up each wrong,
doesn’t rejoice over the errors of others, but rejoices in the truth; doesn’t rejoice over the errors of others, but rejoices in the truth;
it keeps all confidences, it trusts all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things. it keeps all confidences, it trusts all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things.
Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be set aside; if there are languages, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be set aside; if there are languages, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.
but when the perfect comes, the partial will be set aside. but when the perfect comes, then the partial will be set aside.
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I set aside the things of the child. When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I set aside the things of the child.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know clearly just as I also have been clearly known. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know clearly just as I also have been clearly known.
But now remains these three things: faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love. But now remains these three things: faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love.
