Ezekiel

1 The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,

2 Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;

3 And say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of Adonai Yahweh; Thus says Adonai Yahweh; Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israēl, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;

3 καὶ ἐρεῖς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀμμὼν ἀκούσατε λόγον κυρίου τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐπεχάρητε ἐπὶ τὰ ἅγιά μου, ὅτι ἐβεβηλώθη, καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, ὅτι ἠφανίσθη, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ἰούδα, ὅτι ἐπορεύθησαν ἐν αἰχμαλωσίᾳ,	3 καὶ ἐρεῖς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀμμών· ἀκούσατε λόγον Κυρίου· τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐπεχάρητε ἐπὶ τὰ ἅγιά μου, ὅτι ἐβεβηλώθη, καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, ὅτι ἠφανίσθη, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ἰούδα, ὅτι ἐπορεύθησαν ἐν αἰχμαλωσίᾳ,

4 Behold, therefore I will deliver you to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in you, and make their dwellings in you: they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.

5 And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couching-place for flocks; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

5 καὶ δώσω τὴν πόλιν τοῦ Ἀμμὼν εἰς νομὰς καμήλων καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἀμμὼν εἰς νομὴν προβάτων· καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος.	5 καὶ δώσω τὴν πόλιν τοῦ Ἀμμὼν εἰς νομὰς καμήλων καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἀμμὼν εἰς νομὴν προβάτων· καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ Κύριος.

6 For thus says Adonai Yahweh; Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all your despite against the land of Israēl;

6 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐκρότησας τὴν χεῖρά σου καὶ ἐπεψόφησας τῷ ποδί σου καὶ ἐπέχαρας ἐκ ψυχῆς σου ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ἰσραήλ,	6 διότι τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐκρότησας τὴν χεῖρά σου καὶ ἐψόφησας τῷ ποδί σου καὶ ἐπέχαρας ἐκ ψυχῆς σου ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Ἰσραήλ,

7 Behold, therefore I will stretch out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut you off from the people, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries: I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.

8 Thus says Adonai Yahweh; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like to all the heathen;

9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,

9 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ παραλύω τὸν ὦμον Μωὰβ ἀπὸ πόλεων ἀκρωτηρίων αὐτοῦ, ἐκλεκτὴν γῆν, οἶκον Ἀσιμοὺθ ἐπάνω πηγῆς πόλεως παραθαλασσίας.	9 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ παραλύω τὸν ὦμον Μωὰβ ἀπὸ πόλεων ἀκρωτηρίων αὐτοῦ, ἐκλεκτὴν γῆν, οἶκον Ἀσιμοὺθ ἐπάνω πηγῆς πόλεως παραθαλασσίας.

10 Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.

11 And I will execute judgments on Moab; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

12 Thus says Adonai Yahweh; Because that Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them;

12 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐποίησεν ἡ Ἰδουμαία ἐν τῷ ἐκδικῆσαι αὐτοὺς ἐκδίκησιν εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ἰούδα καὶ ἐμνησικάκησαν καὶ ἐξεδίκησαν δίκην,	12 Τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐποίησεν ἡ Ἰδουμαία ἐν τῷ ἐκδικῆσαι αὐτοὺς ἐκδίκησιν εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ἰούδα καὶ ἐμνησικάκησαν καὶ ἐξεδίκησαν δίκην,

13 Therefore thus says Adonai Yahweh; I will also stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

13 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ τὴν Ἰδουμαίαν καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὴν ἔρημον, καὶ ἐκ Θαιμὰν διωκόμενοι ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ πεσοῦνται·	13 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει Κύριος· καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ τὴν Ἰδουμαίαν καὶ ἐξολοθρεύσω ἐξ αὐτῆς ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὴν ἔρημον, καὶ ἐκ Θαιμὰν διωκόμενοι ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ πεσοῦνται.

14 And I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israēl; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, says Adonai Yahweh.

15 Thus says Adonai Yahweh; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

15 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐποίησαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἐν ἐκδικήσει καὶ ἐξανέστησαν ἐκδίκησιν ἐπιχαίροντες ἐκ ψυχῆς τοῦ ἐξαλεῖψαι ἕως αἰῶνος,	15 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐποίησαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἐν ἐκδικήσει καὶ ἐξανέστησαν ἐκδίκησιν ἐπιχαίροντες ἐκ ψυχῆς τοῦ ἐξαλεῖψαι ἕως ἑνός,

16 Therefore thus says Adonai Yahweh; Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

16 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσω Κρῆτας καὶ ἀπολῶ τοὺς καταλοίπους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν παραλίαν·	16 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐκτείνω τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἐξολοθρεύσω Κρῆτας καὶ ἀπολῶ τοὺς καταλοίπους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν παραλίαν·

17 And I will execute great vengeance on them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall lay my vengeance on them.
