Ezekiel

1 Therefore, you son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus says Adonai Yahweh; Behold, I am against you, Oh Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.

וְאַתָּה בֶן ־ אָדָם הִנָּבֵא עַל ־ גֹּוג וְאָמַרְתָּ כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי אֵלֶיךָ גֹּוג נְשִׂיא רֹאשׁ מֶשֶׁךְ וְתֻבָל׃

1 καὶ σύ, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, προφήτευσον ἐπὶ Γὼγ καὶ εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ Γὼγ ἄρχοντα Ῥώς, Μοσὸχ καὶ Θοβὲλ	1 Καὶ σύ, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, προφήτευσον ἐπὶ Γὼγ καὶ εἰπόν· τάδε λέγει Κύριος· ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ Γὼγ ἄρχοντα Ῥώς, Μοσὸχ καὶ Θοβὲλ

2 And I will turn you back, and leave but the sixth part of you, and will cause you to come up from the north parts, and will bring you on the mountains of Israēl.

וְשֹׁבַבְתִּיךָ וְשִׁשֵּׁאתִיךָ וְהַעֲלִיתִיךָ מִיַּרְכְּתֵי צָפֹון וַהֲבִאֹותִךָ עַל ־ הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃

2 καὶ συνάξω σὲ καὶ καθοδηγήσω σὲ καὶ ἀναβιβῶ σὲ ἀπ’ ἐσχάτου τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ἀνάξω σὲ ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.	2 καὶ συνάξω σε καὶ καθοδηγήσω σε καὶ ἀναβιβῶ σε ἐπ’ ἐσχάτου τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ἀνάξω σε ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Ἰσραήλ.

3 And I will smite your bow out of your left hand, and will cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand.

וְהִכֵּיתִי קַשְׁתְּךָ מִיַּד שְׂמֹאולֶךָ וְחִצֶּיךָ מִיַּד יְמִינְךָ אַפִּיל׃

3 καὶ ἀπολῶ τὸ τόξον σου ἀπὸ τῆς χειρός σου τῆς ἀριστερᾶς καὶ τὰ τοξεύματά σου ἀπὸ τῆς χειρός σου τῆς δεξιᾶς καὶ καταβαλῶ σὲ	3 καὶ ἀπολῶ τὸ τόξον σου ἀπὸ τῆς χειρός σου τῆς ἀριστερᾶς καὶ τὰ τοξεύματά σου ἀπὸ τῆς χειρός σου τῆς δεξιᾶς καὶ καταβαλῶ σε

4 You shall fall on the mountains of Israēl, you, and all your bands, and the people that is with you: I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

עַל ־ הָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תִּפֹּול אַתָּה וְכָל ־ אֲגַפֶּיךָ וְעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר אִתָּךְ לְעֵיט צִפֹּור כָּל ־ כָּנָף וְחַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה נְתַתִּיךָ לְאָכְלָה׃

5 You shall fall on the open field; for I have spoken it, says Adonai Yahweh.

עַל ־ פְּנֵי הַשָּׂדֶה תִּפֹּול כִּי אֲנִי דִבַּרְתִּי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃

6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among those who dwell carelessly in the isles; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי ־ אֵשׁ בְּמָגֹוג וּבְיֹשְׁבֵי הָאִיִּים לָבֶטַח וְיָדְעוּ כִּי ־ אֲנִי יְהוָה׃

6 καὶ ἀποστελῶ πῦρ ἐπὶ Γώγ, καὶ κατοικηθήσονται αἱ νῆσοι ἐπ’ εἰρήνης· καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος.	6 καὶ ἀποστελῶ πῦρ ἐπὶ Γώγ, καὶ κατοικηθήσονται αἱ νῆσοι ἐπ’ εἰρήνης· καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι Κύριος.

7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israēl; and I won’t let them pollute my holy name any more; and the heathen shall know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israēl.

וְאֶת ־ שֵׁם קָדְשִׁי אֹודִיעַ בְּתֹוךְ עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא ־ אַחֵל אֶת ־ שֵׁם ־ קָדְשִׁי עֹוד וְיָדְעוּ הַגֹּויִם כִּי ־ אֲנִי יְהוָה קָדֹושׁ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃

7 καὶ τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον γνωσθήσεται ἐν μέσῳ λαοῦ μου Ἰσραήλ, καὶ οὐ βεβηλωθήσεται τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον οὐκέτι· καὶ γνώσονται τὰ ἔθνη ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ἅγιος ἐν Ἰσραήλ.	7 καὶ τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον γνωσθήσεται ἐν μέσῳ λαοῦ μου Ἰσραήλ, καὶ οὐ βεβηλωθήσεται τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ ἅγιον οὐκέτι· καὶ γνώσονται τὰ ἔθνη ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι Κύριος ἅγιος ἐν Ἰσραήλ.

8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, says Adonai Yahweh; this is the day of which I have spoken.

הִנֵּה בָאָה וְנִהְיָתָה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הוּא הַיֹּום אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתִּי׃

9 And they who dwell in the cities of Israēl shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years.

וְיָצְאוּ יֹשְׁבֵי עָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִעֲרוּ וְהִשִּׂיקוּ בְּנֶשֶׁק וּמָגֵן וְצִנָּה בְּקֶשֶׁת וּבְחִצִּים וּבְמַקֵּל יָד וּבְרֹמַח וּבִעֲרוּ בָהֶם אֵשׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים׃

9 καὶ ἐξελεύσονται οἱ κατοικοῦντες τὰς πόλεις Ἰσραὴλ καὶ καύσουσιν ἐν τοῖς ὅπλοις, πέλταις καὶ κοντοῖς καὶ τόξοις καὶ τοξεύμασιν καὶ ῥάβδοις χειρῶν καὶ λόγχαις· καὶ καύσουσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς πῦρ ἑπτὰ ἔτη.	9 καὶ ἐξελεύσονται οἱ κατοικοῦντες τὰς πόλεις Ἰσραὴλ καὶ καύσουσιν ἐν τοῖς ὅπλοις, πέλταις καὶ κοντοῖς καὶ τόξοις καὶ τοξεύμασι καὶ ῥάβδοις χειρῶν καὶ λόγχαις· καὶ καύσουσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς πῦρ ἑπτὰ ἔτη.

10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire; and they shall spoil those who spoiled them, and rob those who robbed them, says Adonai Yahweh.

10 καὶ οὐ μὴ λάβωσιν ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ πεδίου οὐδὲ μὴ κόψωσιν ἐκ τῶν δρυμῶν, ἀλλ’ ἢ τὰ ὅπλα κατακαύσουσιν πυρί, καὶ προνομεύσουσιν τοὺς προνομεύσαντας αὐτοὺς καὶ σκυλεύσουσιν τοὺς σκυλεύσαντας αὐτούς, λέγει κύριος.	10 καὶ οὐ μὴ λάβωσι ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ πεδίου οὐδὲ μὴ κόψωσιν ἐκ τῶν δρυμῶν, ἀλλ’ ἢ τὰ ὅπλα κατακαύσουσι πυρί· καὶ προνομεύσουσι τοὺς προνομεύσαντας αὐτοὺς καὶ σκυλεύσουσι τοὺς σκυλεύσαντας αὐτούς, λέγει Κύριος.

11 And it will happen in that day, that I will give to Gog a place there of graves in Israēl, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea; and it shall stop the noses of the passengers; and there they shall bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.

וְהָיָה בַיֹּום הַהוּא אֶתֵּן לְגֹוג מְקֹום ־ שָׁם קֶבֶר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גֵּי הָעֹבְרִים קִדְמַת הַיָּם וְחֹסֶמֶת הִיא אֶת ־ הָעֹבְרִים וְקָבְרוּ שָׁם אֶת ־ גֹּוג וְאֶת ־ כָּל ־ המונה וְקָרְאוּ גֵּיא הֲמֹון גֹּוג׃

11 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ δώσω τῷ Γὼγ τόπον ὀνομαστόν, μνημεῖον ἐν Ἰσραήλ, τὸ πολυάνδριον τῶν ἐπελθόντων πρὸς τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ περιοικοδομήσουσιν τὸ περιστόμιον τῆς φάραγγος· καὶ κατορύξουσιν ἐκεῖ τὸν Γὼγ καὶ πᾶν τὸ πλῆθος αὐτοῦ, καὶ κληθήσεται τὸ γαὶ τὸ πολυάνδριον τοῦ Γώγ.	11 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ δώσω τῷ Γὼγ τόπον ὀνομαστόν, μνημεῖον ἐν Ἰσραήλ, τὸ πολυάνδριον τῶν ἐπελθόντων πρὸς τῇ θαλάσσῃ, καὶ περιοικοδομήσουσι τὸ περιστόμιον τῆς φάραγγος.

12 And seven months shall the house of Israēl be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those who remain on the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months they shall search.

וְאַנְשֵׁי תָמִיד יַבְדִּילוּ עֹבְרִים בָּאָרֶץ מְקַבְּרִים אֶת ־ הָעֹבְרִים אֶת ־ הַנֹּותָרִים עַל ־ פְּנֵי הָאָרֶץ לְטַהֲרָהּ מִקְצֵה שִׁבְעָה ־ חֳדָשִׁים יַחְקֹרוּ׃

14 καὶ ἄνδρας διὰ παντὸς διαστελοῦσιν ἐπιπορευομένους τὴν γῆν θάψαι τοὺς καταλελειμμένους ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς καθαρίσαι αὐτὴν μετὰ τὴν ἑπτάμηνον, καὶ ἐκζητήσουσιν.	14 καὶ ἄνδρας διὰ παντὸς διαστελοῦσιν ἐπιπορευομένους τὴν γῆν θάψαι τοὺς καταλελειμμένους ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς, καθαρίσαι αὐτὴν μετὰ τὴν ἑπτάμηνον, καὶ ἐκζητήσουσι.

15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any sees a man’s bone, then he shall set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.

וְעָבְרוּ הָעֹבְרִים בָּאָרֶץ וְרָאָה עֶצֶם אָדָם וּבָנָה אֶצְלֹו צִיּוּן עַד קָבְרוּ אֹתֹו הַמְקַבְּרִים אֶל ־ גֵּיא הֲמֹון גֹּוג׃

15 καὶ πᾶς ὁ διαπορευόμενος τὴν γῆν καὶ ἰδὼν ὀστοῦν ἀνθρώπου οἰκοδομήσει παρ’ αὐτὸ σημεῖον, ἕως ὅτου θάψωσιν αὐτὸ οἱ θάπτοντες εἰς τὸ γαὶ τὸ πολυάνδριον τοῦ Γώγ·	15 καὶ πᾶς ὁ διαπορευόμενος τὴν γῆν καὶ ἰδὼν ὀστοῦν ἀνθρώπου οἰκοδομήσει παρ’ αὐτῷ σημεῖον, ἕως ὅτου θάψωσιν αὐτὸ οἱ θάπτοντες εἰς τὸ γαὶ τὸ πολυάνδριον τοῦ Γώγ·

17 And, you son of man, thus says Adonai Yahweh; Speak to every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israēl, that you may eat meat, and drink blood.

17 καὶ σύ, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος εἰπὸν παντὶ ὀρνέῳ πετεινῷ καὶ πρὸς πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ πεδίου συνάχθητε καὶ ἔρχεσθε, συνάχθητε ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν περικύκλῳ ἐπὶ τὴν θυσίαν μου, ἣν τέθυκα ὑμῖν, θυσίαν μεγάλην ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη Ἰσραήλ, καὶ φάγεσθε κρέα καὶ πίεσθε αἷμα.	17 καὶ σύ, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, εἰπόν· τάδε λέγει Κύριος· εἰπὸν παντὶ ὀρνέῳ πετεινῷ καὶ πρὸς πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ πεδίου· συνάχθητε καὶ ἔρχεσθε, συνάχθητε ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν περικύκλῳ ἐπὶ τὴν θυσίαν μου ἣν τέθυκα ὑμῖν, θυσίαν μεγάλην ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη Ἰσραήλ, καὶ φάγεσθε κρέα καὶ πίεσθε αἷμα.

24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done to them, and hid my face from them.

כְּטֻמְאָתָם וּכְפִשְׁעֵיהֶם עָשִׂיתִי אֹתָם וָאַסְתִּר פָּנַי מֵהֶם׃ ס

25 Therefore thus says Adonai Yahweh; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacōb, and have mercy on the whole house of Israēl, and will be jealous for my holy name;

לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה עַתָּה אָשִׁיב אֶת ־ שְׁבִית יַעֲקֹב וְרִחַמְתִּי כָּל ־ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וְקִנֵּאתִי לְשֵׁם קָדְשִׁי׃

25 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος νῦν ἀποστρέψω τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Ἰακὼβ καὶ ἐλεήσω τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ζηλώσω διὰ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιόν μου.	25 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει Κύριος Κύριος· νῦν ἀποστρέψω τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Ἰακὼβ καὶ ἐλεήσω τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ζηλώσω διὰ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιόν μου.

26 καὶ λήμψονται τὴν ἀτιμίαν ἑαυτῶν καὶ τὴν ἀδικίαν, ἣν ἠδίκησαν, ἐν τῷ κατοικισθῆναι αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἐπ’ εἰρήνης, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐκφοβῶν.	26 καὶ λήψονται τὴν ἀτιμίαν αὐτῶν καὶ τὴν ἀδικίαν, ἣν ἠδίκησαν, ἐν τῷ κατοικισθῆναι αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἐπ’ εἰρήνης, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐκφοβῶν.
26 And they shall bear their reproach, and the iniquity which they committed when they dwelt on their land in peace. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am consecrated in them in the sight of many nations;

בְּשֹׁובְבִי אֹותָם מִן ־ הָעַמִּים וְקִבַּצְתִּי אֹתָם מֵאַרְצֹות אֹיְבֵיהֶם וְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּי בָם לְעֵינֵי הַגֹּויִם רַבִּים׃

27 ἐν τῷ ἀποστρέψαι με αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ συναγαγεῖν με αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῶν χωρῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ἁγιασθήσομαι ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐθνῶν,	27 ἐν τῷ ἀποστρέψαι με αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ συναγαγεῖν με αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῶν χωρῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ἁγιασθήσομαι ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐθνῶν,

28 Then shall they know that I am Yahweh their God, which cause them to be led into captivity among the heathen; but I have gathered them to their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

29 καὶ οὐκ ἀποστρέψω οὐκέτι τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ’ αὐτῶν, ἀνθ’ οὗ ἐξέχεα τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραήλ, λέγει κύριος κύριος	29 καὶ οὐκ ἀποστρέψω οὐκέτι τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ’ αὐτῶν, ἀνθ’ οὗ ἐξέχεα τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραήλ, λέγει Κύριος Κύριος.
